De out tries to pull an outside pitch and rolls over on it. Do hitting coaches even work with guys to go to the opposite field anymore?

VV (not Vince Vaughn) still dealing for Philadelphia.Edman – Rifles a line shot past Gregorius at short and out into left for a leadoff base knock.
Carlson – Caught looking on one that just catches the low outside edge of the zone. And Velasquez gets repaid by getting the hook….to the showers he heads.
Enter Brandon Kintzler sporting a rather lofty 7.50 era.
Goldy – 1-10 lifetime vs Kintzler with 5 whiffs. Paul walks.
Arenado – Time for this fellow to kick her into gear. On 0-2 he swings at one a mile and a half wide of the dish and naturally comes up empty…..oh golly.
DeJong – Bounces it down to Miller at 3rd and all Brad has to do is let his momentum carry him a couple more strides towards the bag and he’ll step on it to retire the Cardinals here in the 5th.

Phils 3Genesis Cabrera hit Bryce Harper right square in the face with a 97 mph fastball. He has such horrendous control.
Oh man, that was bad. Harper hit in the face by Cabrera. That one is scary, although Harper walked off.
Uh-oh, another HBP. Man, this is bringing back memories of Rick Ankiel.
Time to get Cabrera out of there. I know he wasn’t doing it on purpose but he should be tossed here.
Cabby plunks Harper smack dab in the face to open the Philly 6th. Harper looks ok, but the Phillies will not take any chances and Harper’s done for the night.
Now in the very next pitch Cabby nails Gregorius on the back….2 Cabrera pitches this inning and 2 hit batsman. I only have one thing to say here..,.thank God this game is not in Philadelphia!
Better have someone warming as Cabrera is not coming close to the strike zone. Now he grooves one to McCutheon and is gone.
Now that was a big league melt down.
What a disaster. I think even taking out Oviedo when he was pitching pretty darned well and only at 86 pitches was a boneheaded move to start with.
You just hope Cabrera throws strikes next time, or that could get to your head. Just a terrible sequence there.
Webb is in, and he’s been pretty much terrible since February. This one could easily get way out of hand.
It’s going to be pretty darn tough to come away with a win now with the Phillies being all jacked up and all. But this particular game just may be zany enough to pull it off.
The pen should be as fresh as a field of daisies with the way the starters have been going lately. Webb doing the job so far. Speaking of “Webb”, Arenado with a web-gem at 3rd to retire the side…..sweet play!
Arenado may have saved the game there. Who knows how that inning would have gone of that one gets through.
