Okay there is Arenado’s first RBI
April 1, 2021 at 3:45 pm #156761
stlcard25ParticipantArenado with another single up the middle…he’s 2-2. Drives in Goldy and it’s 7-1.
April 1, 2021 at 3:52 pm #156762We can forget about those 54 runs, Card 25, but the reds still have a shot at 18 errors
April 1, 2021 at 3:54 pm #156763
stlcard25ParticipantUmp misses the K on the 2-2 pitch but gives up the makeup call on 3-2. That’s 3 strikeouts for Jack.
April 1, 2021 at 4:12 pm #156764
stlcard25ParticipantCastellanos crushes one and the Reds are back in it. 7-3. Jack’s bugaboo is probably just always gonna be there.
April 1, 2021 at 4:23 pm #156765
stlcard25ParticipantCards really working the counts here in the 4th. Flaherty walks and Edman gets on with a swinging bunt. Trying to get those runs back.
April 1, 2021 at 4:24 pm #156766
stlcard25ParticipantGoldy with the single to drive in Jack!! 8-3!
April 1, 2021 at 4:25 pm #156767
stlcard25ParticipantWild pitch and the lead is back to 6…9-3 Cards.
April 1, 2021 at 4:25 pm #156768Offense looks good today. Hopefully Jack can give us at least 6 innings without giving too many runs back.
April 1, 2021 at 4:26 pm #156769Cubs are losing 5-2 in the 7th to a Pirate team that might lose over 100 games. Ha!
April 1, 2021 at 4:28 pm #156770
stlcard25ParticipantSenzel robs Arenado of extra bases. The first out of Nolan’s St Louis career.
April 1, 2021 at 4:37 pm #156771Where’s this offense been hiding? Granted, the Reds have been helping us out, but can’t fault those Cardinal bats.
April 1, 2021 at 4:42 pm #156773Maybe our guys like hitting in Great American Ballpark better than they do Roger Dean, although you would think the 37 degree temps in Cincy right now would stifle the offense some.
April 1, 2021 at 4:44 pm #156774Tyler O’Neill with a bomb.
Suarez then hits a bomb.
Is the wind blowing out of GAB?
April 1, 2021 at 4:46 pm #156775Why is Tyler so low in the order after his AWSOME Spring? And why no love here for Cody??
April 1, 2021 at 4:46 pm #156776
stlcard25ParticipantThankfully the offense showed up, because Flaherty has not been sharp at all.
April 1, 2021 at 4:56 pm #156777O’Neill is hitting fifth in the lineup. That isn’t too bad.
April 1, 2021 at 5:18 pm #156778Uncle Denny’s correct call on Carlson can be attributed to one thing……pure luck. Carlson batting 7th in anyone’s lineup is just plain unsettling. And speaking of “unsettling”, I’m presently looking at our ace walking dejectedly off the hill in the 5th, not being able to safely secure a mammoth advantage. 11-6 now as Webb induces a short sac fly to center….and what kind of a throw was that from the aforementioned Carlson????
April 1, 2021 at 5:21 pm #156779Kind of a sparse crowd here today on opening day in the Queen City. Webb does his job…11-6 Good Guys as we mozzy along to the 6th.
April 1, 2021 at 5:26 pm #156780Goldy with a rocket shot right up the middle, but that’s where India had him played, thus preventing Goldschmidt’s fourth consecutive hit to open the ’21 campaign. Romano sets us down 1-2-3 here in the 6th and we need to return the favor in the bottom half.
April 1, 2021 at 5:29 pm #156781Hey, it’s 12:30 a.m. here now and I can’t stay awake. Hope you guys can hold this lead the rest of the way.
`April 1, 2021 at 5:32 pm #1567821982 willie
ParticipantWell we had so much offense I was able to watch my recording and still catch up to live ball. Offense has been good though some shaky reds defense and pitching attributed. Our pitching hasn’t been much better. Flaherty looked great at times hopefully just attribute it to cold. Hopefully we can hold on here without taking bullpen too much on first day.
April 1, 2021 at 5:37 pm #156783
stlcard25ParticipantBases loaded for Castellanos now. Cards doing all they can to try to lose this game.
April 1, 2021 at 5:38 pm #156784
stlcard25ParticipantHelsley can’t find the plate. This is a position where having a guy like Gant would be a great luxury.
April 1, 2021 at 5:41 pm #156786
stlcard25ParticipantThe Reds completely shoot themselves in the foot in a way that I’m not entirely sure what happened. Looks like they missed tagging up?
