If Ponce was efficient in throwing almost 100 pitches in 5 innings of 1 run ball….well I’ll just say I disagree with that depiction.
It’s funny how much extreme overreaction there is to this. I thought this was a peaceful way to protest. I suppose all protests should occur 30 years from now on the moon so they don’t inconvenience anyone.
They are only bringing up the issue of fraudulent votes now because Mr Trump lost. He has been laying the foundation of claims for over a year before the election. Mail in voting in Georgia was pushed and passed by Republicans because they thought it would help them win bigger. Now that it doesn’t anymore they are trying to change the laws before they get voted out.
Baseball is a great way to teach lessons outside the white lines. Look at the legacy of Jackie Robinson. Should baseball have just stayed out of it and left things how they were?
Maybe if anyone could PROVE there was voter fraud I would agree. All sorts of restrictions are being put up under the guise of security, simply because one side is upset about losing. Put forth better candidates. Don’t try to limit voters.
To me this seems like a good move. An industry chooses a peaceful way to state an opinion/objection in a way that draws attention to a subject for discussion. They aren’t doing it in a way that can be twisted to say they are being disrespectful to a flag, our veterans, or the country as a whole.
Sunkist does make a fine orange soda but I miss “Thirsty? Just Whistle!” from my childhood. Minute Maid put out a pretty good orange soda in late 80’s/early 90’s. Fanta never impressed me much.

Molina has 2 stays on DL.Dejong’s strikeout to walk ratio has much improved since that 2017 season. Seeing more pitches per at bat makes all the other cardinals better as it elevates pitch counts and allows hitters on deck a better preview. If he can just combine the walks and the elevated average…

No power, speed, batting average, poor walk/strike out ratios, 27 years old, and been passed around multiple organizations including the Orioles. At least Sosa has started to put up power numbers, is 4 years younger, and is one of “our guys”. Is Rondon some kind of wizard with the glove? Looks like AAA depth to me. All the big media folks outside of St Louis write as if he has cemented a spot.
Parsons very quietly put up 8 1/3 scoreless innings. Reminds me of when Britt Reames came out of nowhere at age 25 despite few innings over A ball to make the team. Ok, probably not going to happen here.
So enough about the Physics and let’s talk about how it affects the Cardinals. We have 3 guys in our lineup with elite speed in Bader, Edman, and O’Neil and we aren’t manufacturing enough runs. It would seem to me this year our team would benefit more than most, as I feel Molina will still keep down opposing attempts. 2 of our 3 speedy guys will bat low in the order so I hope to see them on the fly this summer

I read an article from the herald-tribune (still don’t know where it’s from) from last August interviewing Scooter Gennett. He is working his own farm now but didn’t rule out a return to baseball. That’s one guy I wouldn’t mind the cards inviting to camp next year when Carp is finally off the roster.
I had read elsewhere (sorry I don’t have a link) that KK was down 2 mph on his FB and that he was going to work on that. But also that he is working on a slower curve a la Wainright and that the one that made Villar look bad was 67mph. Can anyone tell me if Carpenter has leveled his swing at all? Missing FSMW from Hulu.
Doesn’t Carp have an option vest if he gets so many at bats? No way they let him get it here. If trading Carp to play everyday you would have to include more to cover his extra year don’t you? Or do I have his contract wrong?
I understand the sentiment that a lot of people here have. I loved listening to the games late at night in my bunkbed on my walkman. I was blissfully unaware of the terrible things that were going on in the country then and still going on today. I choose to not keep my head stuck in the sand. Is it inconvenient that we miss baseball games? That’s the point! Our country continues to ignore issues that don’t affect us individually and until we all come together to solve our issues or at least acknowledge them, these protests should take place. Personally I think BLM is hurting its cause with its strategy. But I understand the anger burning for justice.
But athletes protesting is a great non-violent way to gain awareness. No baseball on TV? There are a lot more important things to stand up for. The good old days weren’t so good for a lot of this country and ignoring the problem sure didn’t make it go away.
