Tommy is not a bad outfielder…he is not a bad anything. Some people will complain and criticize anything.
We would not be playing in the playoffs without Tommy Edman. He makes the Cardinals go. He is a switch hitter with speed that has the versatility to play almost any position. That makes him an extremely important player.
It Shildt doesn’t win it then it is a joke.

A lot of things are weird about Carlos but using him as the closer is not one of them.
That is nonsense. Carlos is the closer because Hicks is hurt and if Management didn’t want Carlos to close they would have gotten someone else.
It is Shildt not Schildt and Carlos is the closer so he is going to pitch in these situations. It was not bone-headed, Carlos just didn’t do the job that he is paid to do.
Only a loser would say that Mike Shildt is a loser.
The McCann/Swanson call is just hindsight. Carlos just didn’t do his job. Plain and simple.
