September 29, 2019 at 5:48 pm #109421My iPhone says this game starts in the afternoon. Is that correct?

Participantwell left handers always give us trouble. so hopefully this little rest will get mikolas right. atlanta clinched a while ago so maybe no meaningful games lately might temper them enough that we eek outa win and have Flaherty for game 2. id feel pretty good then.
September 29, 2019 at 7:44 pm #109433Did Derek Holland give us trouble today? No, he didn’t.

Participantderek Holland was horrible today and he isn’t even a starter anymore. comparing him to keuchel at this point in ludicrous at best. he was throwing bullpen stuff at best when he could actually throw a strike that is.
September 29, 2019 at 8:50 pm #109441You said left=handers always give us trouble and I assumed that today was a part of always.

stlcard25ParticipantIt’s a minor error but this is the NLDS. Hopefully we will have separate NLCS threads against the Nats, Brewers or Dodgers coming up!!
Also, I’ll be leaving on a 10 day hiking trip on Saturday so I’d enjoy the Cards being up 2-0 before I go. Ha
September 29, 2019 at 9:11 pm #109444stlcard25? A ten day hiking trip? You going to catch some Catfish and have some Fiddlers? I bet Pugs would enjoy a few the way he gobbles them up.
September 29, 2019 at 9:29 pm #109445I’m thinking of taking a hike to StL for Sunday and Monday. My son is checking tomorrow to see if he can get off work for a couple days.
Rat, I’ve had catfish fillets plenty of times, but not fiddlers. I can’t imagine so, but is there much of a difference in flavor/taste based on the way they’re prepared?

Yep, Brian’s just jumping the gun. He knows where this thing is heading.

Ha ha…here in PA the trout are the fish of choice, but you can only catch and release this time of year. I’m planning on doing a bit of fishing while out and trying to follow the Cards as best I can!

Euro,
I don’t really know. I don’t think I have ever had whats called the Catfish Fillet. Next time I get to the Amish restaurant I’ll try and ask someone what the difference is, if any.r/Esteemed Rat
September 30, 2019 at 7:24 am #109467I am assuming Los Angeles is hosting the later games, and we will be early. Hopefully 5 pm cst??

stlcard25ParticipantIf Mikolas is the starter, he is 1-2 with a 2.95 ERA with 16 Ks in 18.1 IP against the Braves the last two years. If Dallas Kuechel goes for the Braves, he has faced the Cards as a starter twice (in 2012 and 2016), going 0-2 with an 11.00 ERA and 9 Ks in 9 IP.

He was Joe Maddon’s parting gift to the Cards, his favorite team as a kid.
September 30, 2019 at 10:36 am #109496Godly needs to come alive for the postseason. Shildtt needs to do a better job with his bullpen selections too.
I expect Flaherty to pitch well, but he’s already thrown almost 200 innings. I’m not sure if they wii cap that at some pointSeptember 30, 2019 at 11:09 am #10949814NyquisT
ParticipantWhat a relief I felt yesterday. Flaherty was as marvelous as we have come to expect him to be. If we needed him to pitch into the WS and game 7 he would still have it. He’s a big athletic type pitcher and I don’t think he would tire at all.
The bats were pounding the ball and early on to provide some kind of assurance that we would win the game we needed to win. Was the 9-0 lead enough? Believe it or not I wasn’t totally sure we would win. I kept thinking that strange things happen when teams get into our BP, especially on the last day of the season.
So on the Atlanta. I feel good about this series. Confidence levels have risen to a high for this team.
I can see that good pitching will beat good hitting. And I think our offense is starting to click. With Wong back and Edman in right we only drop off on one defensive position, Fowler CF. Bader has really hurt himself at the plate. Give me Edman every day of the week.I know that Arozarena won’t make the play-off roster… but I would rather see him out there than Bader.
September 30, 2019 at 11:13 am #109499What time does this game start on Thursday? And Friday?
September 30, 2019 at 12:34 pm #109509Other than the two wild card games, all game times are still listed as TBD on the MLB site.
September 30, 2019 at 5:00 pm #109533Start times for Division Series games through Saturday, 10/5 have been announced. @TBSNetwork will televise all NLDS games, while @FS1 and @MLBNetwork will cover all ALDS games. @ESPNRadio will cover all Postseason games. #MLB #Postseason pic.twitter.com/DLRH7Jg4Kq

September 30, 2019 at 5:20 pm #109536What, no CB Bucknor or Angel Hernandez???
September 30, 2019 at 8:57 pm #109552
stlcard25ParticipantSeptember 30, 2019 at 9:27 pm #109557Wild Card winners will determine our playing time. If the Nats win we play at 5 est, or Brewers it 6 approximately est
September 30, 2019 at 10:34 pm #109561Ed “20-20” Hickcock should be calling the balls & strikes and Hoberg’s keester should be planted in right.
