One bad pitch an out goes Hudson. Fowler, Wong and Dejong can’t buy a hit for a month…
October 7, 2019 at 3:59 pm #110543things are beginning to look grim.
October 7, 2019 at 4:01 pm #110544Not looking good. If we want to play on Wednesday, we’ll have to get our offense going and Shildt will have to manage.. So who do we open 2020 against?
October 7, 2019 at 4:04 pm #110545The announcer said by putting Carp at 3rd, Shildt traded defense for offense. He clearly was thinking this was 2015.
October 7, 2019 at 4:05 pm #110546Last night 3 guys hit, Ozuna, Goldy and JMart. Seen some other guys ab today playing for the walk. They better start trying to put wood on the ball and quit trying to leave it up to someonelse. That ball to Carp bounced twice and he still missed it. Jeez.
October 7, 2019 at 4:06 pm #110547A one-run deficit with four innings to go is a grim situation? Sheesh.
October 7, 2019 at 4:07 pm #110548Wong is flapping around like a dying moth.
October 7, 2019 at 4:17 pm #110550Fowler, Wong, Edmond, Molina and DeJong all hitting < .185 Can’t win many games with 5 starters sub .200.
October 7, 2019 at 4:17 pm #110551Thats funny CIF but I did notice that too
Hes been really good at times but not lately, along with about 3 or 4 others. But you gotta admit I guess you’re only gonna see quality pitching in the post season. Cept last night.October 7, 2019 at 4:31 pm #110553Best regular season defense has turned into the worst postseason defense…
October 7, 2019 at 4:31 pm #110554Down a run with our offense is very grim. No matter how many innings left.
October 7, 2019 at 4:33 pm #110555Workin the bullpen now and the bases are loaded with pesky injuns! Call out the calvary!
October 7, 2019 at 4:35 pm #110556Warning! Proceed with Caution. Shildt is managing.
October 7, 2019 at 4:38 pm #110557Shildt did choose offense over defense because he thinks Carp’s hitting better than Bader. But, we NEED Edman at third. He’s a much better fielder than Carp and we’ve paid big time for that today.
October 7, 2019 at 4:39 pm #110558That’s the Duvall I remember.
Brebbia mans up and gets a K.
October 7, 2019 at 4:39 pm #110559Brebbia did a nice job there, got him 1and 2 and then got him to swing at a junk ball. Basball 101. Still in it
October 7, 2019 at 4:40 pm #110560Shildt is an excellent Manager! Quit complaining about him…you just sound stupid.
October 7, 2019 at 4:41 pm #110561At least a run today yadifan. Needs to make up for it at the plate. I really like Yadi too

Participantshildt is not an excellent manager. I don’t think he is a terrible manager but I would consider him average to maybe slightly above. the players like him which helps but there is more to managing than being liked. but he hasn’t been given a great deck by the management so theres that.
October 7, 2019 at 4:50 pm #110563He is excellent and likely Manager of the Year in the National League.
October 7, 2019 at 4:51 pm #110564Hey CIF, whats for din-din tonight?
October 7, 2019 at 4:51 pm #110565Lot’s of empty seats today.
Fowler’s next AB should be his last in CF.
October 7, 2019 at 4:55 pm #1105661982 willie
Participantwell that’s a matter of opinion and since I think you would be in the minority on this board, probably wrong. he might win it but he doesn’t deserve it. an honorable mention maybe.
October 7, 2019 at 4:57 pm #1105671982 willie
Participantwell can we get out of this mess fowler put us in. sometimes going for the supposed offense doesn’t work out but maybe our pitchers can save it.
October 7, 2019 at 4:58 pm #110568Come on Miller get this guy…
