Not looking good. If we want to play on Wednesday, we’ll have to get our offense going and Shildt will have to manage.. So who do we open 2020 against?
The announcer said by putting Carp at 3rd, Shildt traded defense for offense. He clearly was thinking this was 2015.
Last night 3 guys hit, Ozuna, Goldy and JMart. Seen some other guys ab today playing for the walk. They better start trying to put wood on the ball and quit trying to leave it up to someonelse. That ball to Carp bounced twice and he still missed it. Jeez.
Fowler, Wong, Edmond, Molina and DeJong all hitting < .185 Can’t win many games with 5 starters sub .200.

Hes been really good at times but not lately, along with about 3 or 4 others. But you gotta admit I guess you’re only gonna see quality pitching in the post season. Cept last night.Shildt did choose offense over defense because he thinks Carp’s hitting better than Bader. But, we NEED Edman at third. He’s a much better fielder than Carp and we’ve paid big time for that today.
Brebbia did a nice job there, got him 1and 2 and then got him to swing at a junk ball. Basball 101. Still in it
shildt is not an excellent manager. I don’t think he is a terrible manager but I would consider him average to maybe slightly above. the players like him which helps but there is more to managing than being liked. but he hasn’t been given a great deck by the management so theres that.
well that’s a matter of opinion and since I think you would be in the minority on this board, probably wrong. he might win it but he doesn’t deserve it. an honorable mention maybe.
well can we get out of this mess fowler put us in. sometimes going for the supposed offense doesn’t work out but maybe our pitchers can save it.
