I’m just gonna ask, why so quick to pull Weaver. He was cruising along and gave up a base runner. Let him see if he can work through it again like earlier in the game. I am really hating this new way of going to the pen as soon as a runner reaches after the 5th inning. It’s weak baseball.

It’s more of an eating up roster space on a player that is seldom used. If they aren’t going to use the kid send him down so he can pitch consistently and try to stay sharp and get better. Also call up another bat so your bench is deeper. Just a thought.

Hope it is warmer in Round Rock and Midland than it currently is in the DFW. About 50 degrees colder. Dang it’s cold down here today.

Very nice win today. The bullpen when while will be a real strength of this team so long as they are deployed properly. When the weather warms look for the offense to get a little more consistent. But for today at least they looked good against a solid team from Arizona.

Take the binky away? How about relieve him of his duties. As I said the other day, he continually displays his incompetence on an almost daily basis.

That’s not the game you hope for on opening night at home. They did only give up 3 even though the pitching was very shaky. But the offense has to get better and more consistent and that has to happen quickly. Too many good hitters in the lineup to K 13 times against 2 hits. That’s ridiculous and unacceptable.

Really good game on the hill by Martinez. And an even better showing showing compassion for Munoz. That’s picking up a teammate. Norris did his job and it was a really good win from start to finish. Oh and on a side note the Blues suck, smh. Why can’t they get it right…sigh

Failure to try and score Yadi was huge. I know it would have been close but had very little faith in the next two to drive him in. Pitching Hicks yesterday in a 4 run game bit them in the ass. Would have been good to have him in there in the 9th. Oh well, go win tomorrow.

I’m gonna keep this as nice as I can. He really needs to understand the Cardinals have three or four really good options that are much younger than him just chomping at the bit for an opportunity. Unless he is trying to get traded it would behoove him to shut his trap. I don’t think they miss a beat if they removed him and put Garcia, Arozarrna, Bader, or even Mercado out there. I don’t think he appreciates just how expendable he really is. Heck I didn’t even mention O’Neill. Come Tommy just go play and stop the commentary.

Ozuna didn’t look too hurt when he heaved the ball on the stands after the third out in an inning yesterday. So who knows how much it really bothers him.

Glad they proved me wrong today. I’m a big Weaver believer. He’s gonna get better and better. Also happy Ozuna and Dejong got going today. Good win to build on.

No Pads just look at that lineup and tell me with a straight face it makes any sense.

Cubs won 10-6. Their pitching may not be dominating but it doesn’t have to be when they are scoring 10 runs. It would be nice if our guys could find a way to score some runs.

Hopefully they can salvage the game tomorrow. But the first two games have been less than inspiring.

Hard for Ozuna to throw home when he didn’t have the ball to throw. Pham played hero ball and cut Ozuna off on the catch for some dumbass reason. Another defensive blunder.

Carpenter gets one run back he gave up. Too bad it doesn’t matter. Keith Olbermann doesn’t know the Cardinals too well. Ain’t no way they are gonna fire their boy. He’s just perfect in their eyes. He should have been canned long ago so ain’t no way they do it by June 1 or any time during the season. Heck I bet they don’t even do it after they miss the playoffs for a third year in a row.

Sorry if harsh but he is a very subpar defender no matter the position. That negates his offense in many ways. He made a mistake as he was too far from the bag and should have tried the 5-4-3 DP. I’m still hoping they get going because the Mets aren’t really that good despite having good pitching.

Through 11 innings of baseball this team is a hot mess. I’m still wondering why they spent 14 million and pick 59 on a closer for a third place at best team. Why Carpenter is still on this team I don’t know. He cost them the two runs in the first and frankly continues to display his ineptness in the field.

Looks like there was a competition after all. Kelly optioned to Triple A which is fine for him as he will play more often.

BW I don’t know who you remove from 40 man at this point, but he is forcing a decision to be made. He handled the staff today very well. 1 hit in 9 innings is salty even for Spring Training and he had a role in that effort. Gonna be some interesting roster calls in the coming days.

And I also have to give a shout out to Pena. He looks like a good backup to Molina. Kelly has some competition for that spot.
