I will be shocked if they do anything big this off season or take on significant money.
Credit where it is due. They beat a good pitcher and the youth led the way. Keep playing them.
I was not alone after yesterday. Hammer meet nail.
Well they have their excuse. It was a blister.
I don’t holler after every loss about the manager. Today though without a doubt tells me that he needs to go. No way on this planet am I taking Lynn out of that game. The man can’t manage its as simple as that.
Add manager to the list. I’m through with the current one.
If there any doubt the manager should be dismissed at the end of the season there shouldn’t be after this game. Leave Lynn in the game. He had only given up a hit through 8 innings and was just over 100 pitches. Additionally he isn’t likely to come back next year so put him back out there. The manager just isn’t good and that has been clear for a long time. He needs to be part of the house cleaning.
I predicted he wouldn’t last when he was in the Arizona Fall League. His delivery was one that was destined to lead to arm trouble. He’s most likely used up as was said above.
One day closer to the start of Blues getting back on the ice.
UGLY.
Yes that too Euro.
Will someone please tell Mike Matheny to take Mayers out of the game before it’s too late. Geez.
That’s a winner! Come on D-backs! 4-0 top 7.
Right until Brett Cecil. Ugh…
No excuses now. They are in it. Question is do they buy something that is on the market to bring it home down the stretch. Gonna be a fun finish if they can keep this going.
Gotta rally late in this one. Defense has been bad tonight.
Wow how is this team under .500 starting the second week of August and only 3.5 out of first in the division. Good win today. Baseball can be a funny game sometimes.
Correct me if I’m wrong but they only get a pick if they offer him a qualifying offer of around 18 to 18.5 million for one season and he rejects it. And all indications are they don’t plan to do that. So this pick is most likely mythical at this point and won’t happen. If they don’t offer and he walks or they don’t sign him to a new deal then this day will be nothing short of a complete failure of leadership from the front office. I don’t see any other way to describe it.
I just about to ask about the mobile issue. Thanks for telling us they are working on it. BTW you can switch to desktop view if you phone will let you and it works fine.
No what was more pathetic was that piss poor hanging curve ball on a 3-2 pitch. That was trash from that overpaid blankety blank.
I gotta agree this looks like a very good deal and more should be coming soon.
Just when you think they are out of it the Brewers lose 3 in a row and they are 4 back. Of course its really the Cubs they are chasing. Sell or buy or both? We shall find out soon enough.
Actually I know all of that but I don’t know that it would be wise to invest in that contract. It’s a dicey deal and there will be others out there in the off-season that may be better fits.
You can get him on August 1 for no player at all. Simply be willing to claim all of that future money. If you aren’t willing to do that then end of this thread.
I guess you don’t like Cecil as closer so much now.
