My point was that yes he is all the things you said. Defense extraordinaire. No questions. I was just talking offense side. How can to Thomas be considered mediocre with lower but similar numbers offensively but not Edman. He is scoring of so many runs does not truly correlates with his OBP. Maybe he is hard to double up so he is on base that way multiple times. I don’t have a problem with Edman he is a amazing defensive players, my problem is the fact that other fans compare other players saying they can’t field like Edman of course not too many can. But when it comes to comparing offense then well that’s not fair he is defensive wiz. He is an average hitter that’s my point.

August 27, 2022 at 8:06 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 127 thread – Saturday, August 27 vs. Braves #197921Gorman OPS is .754 PDJ .585 Gorman is 22 in his first season. PDJ is 29. Give me Gorman let PDJ go suck somewhere else. But the defense yeah I know.
August 27, 2022 at 4:17 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 127 thread – Saturday, August 27 vs. Braves #197883I have no doubt they will win the division. But I think that will be it. Out on the wildcard round. Unless the send the Dejong down. Get effective work from lefty relievers even if it is just one. And they need consistent offense from people other than Goldy or Arenado. Let’s hope Monty can keep it up tonight. I think we will need 4 starters if we advance on the playoffs. Mikolas,Monty,Waino,Quintana should be ok. If Matz can come back he might better going to the bullpen. Just random thoughts.

August 23, 2022 at 12:19 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 122 thread – Tues, August 23 at Cubs (DH Game 1) #197223I agree Waino will not be a Hall of Famer. I considered Mike Mussina borderline and he made it. His stats are similar to Waino’s regarding ERA and WHIP but that’s where it ends Mussina won 270 games.
