8 hits, three extra bases including a homer…1 run. Poor sequencing strikes again.

One hitter too many for Mikolas. 5-1

Nothing against your post, but Donovan is hitting right at .300. BTW, ole Miles is a .500 pitcher, no better, no worse. And the offense, well shaping up to be feast or famine for sure. Hope the Chubbs don’t put the outfielder in to strike out DeJug again tonight.

DeJong swings and misses at a pitch that was above his shoulders. Next pitch he strikes out swinging at a bouncer. Pretty much sums him up lately.

Gorman definitely not ready for major leagues with that strikeout rate?

Gorman looks lost tonight for sure.

Yeah Euro first at bat he swung 3 times at strikes in the zone and never touched one. Last night he struck out swinging at 2 in a row at shoulder level then a third barely top of zone. They know his weakness. Somebody said the hole in his swing is from his chest to his toes. Cracked me up!Hope he’s not off the tracks again.

This game has turned bad. Time to turn in. Had a rough day at work. My company is finding new ways to work people to death. Hopefully Cardinals pull it out tomorrow though Hudson and our shaky offense doesn’t give me confidence. Losing 3 out of five to these losers would really be sorry.

Never let em kill you Willie. Just not worth it. We’ll do better tomorrow.

Well, with the two best bats missing from the line-up it should come as no surprise to have trouble pushing runs across. Hopefully they come in bunches tomorrow with the big kids in there.

Hahaha. The scouting report you never want to read about yourself. But maybe that’s why he thought he could do something with the bouncer. That’s below the toes, right?

Got 9 hits but only 1 run. Baby bear pitching was pretty good as we never got a walk. Had a few chances but no rbi’s… Dickerson is on fire right now so we need to utilize that. Big boys back tomorrow?

DeJong would have a better chance if he went up there with no bat.

I’ve been very critical of PDJ for a long time now, but you’ve gotta believe he is embarrassed every time he walks up to the plate now – one grand slam notwithstanding.

DeJong needs to do what Carpenter did. Go get a fresh start somewhere else because it’s just not working for him here.

Edman to short, Gorman at second is good enough defensively.

I wonder if DeJong has any trade value whatsoever at this point?

You could be on to something here, Bling. Coach Norman Dale of that struggling Hickory, Indiana, squad, elected to put 4 players on the floor instead of 5……..and look how that turned out. Who knows, there could be a Hollywood movie in all of this. Thinking, gotta make it real……who could play DeJong? Maybe some actor who’s always missing his lines possibly, for authenticity sake.

1 run or less in 3 out of 4 games in Chicago simply doesn’t make sense.

Well there are a lot of holes on the line up. It takes a magnifying glass to find the batting average and on base percentage of 3-4 players in any line up Marmol runs out there, lol.

Why is Nootbaar doing well, and some of the other players struggling – DeJong, O’Neill, Carlson, Edman, Knizner, etc.?

I was at this game, and to put it nicely, there were a ton of TERRIBLE AB’s.

Obviously from 200 level you can’t see details like you can on TV, but DeJong is awful, Gorman looked like he needed to go back to A ball and most of the posters on here could out run Yadi!

I was at the Tues night game, too. When he hit it, I thought Arenado’s HR was going all the way to the rooftops across the street.

I think marmol messes up the line up, by switching it up too often. Donovan has pretty good contact ops, but he chased 3 balls out of the zone, 1 almost in batter box

    Great analysis 🙂
