Well Pugs, looks like we’re the entire gate. Everyone must be chasing the cuties on this Sat. night which reminds me of a Casey quote…”Being with a woman never hurt a ballplayer. It’s the chasing ’em all night that does him in”…

Top of 3. Bumgarner still as fresh as a daisy with only 14 pitches thru his first 2 frames.

    Knizner strikes out swinging.

Nooty on 3-2 walks on a low one.

    Carlson strikes out looking.

O’Neill lines a base hit thru the middle and out into center for a base hit….Nooty will scamper around to 3rd base.

Goldy pokes a base hit to right and in trots Nooty with the tying tally.

Arenado flies out to Varsho in right….. didn’t the Cubbies have a Gary Varsho back in the day?

Ha! Great quote, TD……but are you sure that eloquent quote wasn’t originally authored by One Tough Dominican? Even though there’s only 2 of us, we’ll do whatever we can to keep the ship afloat. A little help wouldn’t hurt though….. where’s Euro, Wooster, Oliver, Steve-O, Cardinals27 or Bling??

Nice to see a couple more Redbird fans file through the gate in the 3rd. Feels like Dodger Stadium…Could be a packed house by the 5th.

I would never dare plagiarize the ‘Ol Professor

I know you wouldn’t, TD……but I wouldn’t put it past you to borrow a line or two from him.

Hudson seems to be begging for trouble tonight.

Whatever that pitch that Hudson keeps throwing 3 feet to the right of the plate, he needs to quit trying it.

His same old problem – a walk and an HBP and two runs given up.

Now a Kelly base hit to center plates two and just like that AZ has their 2 run advantage back.

    Hey BicycleMike joins us…..nice

Hopefully this is the last time we have to see Hudson in a starting role! He never improves! Same problems every outing! We tie it up and he immediately walks the first batter and then hits one! He is just not any good! We can and must do better!

Hudson often works his way into trouble, but what’s worse is he rarely seems to be able to work his way out. Frustrating to watch.

Not sure who is more painful to watch — Hudson or Gallegos?

Well get in to see us down 4-2. Nice thing though, Albert hit another homer. People say he can’t get to 700 this year.i say he can if he stays locked in like he is. Still got 6 to 7 weeks to go. He just did it again.

    Top of 4.

Albert on 3-1 rifles a shot down the left field line that just barely veers foul. Albert whacks a long one to center!….Thomas back to the wall and bombs away baby for #692…..hit in almost the exact spot where he hit his first homer tonight….4-3 AZ and this joint is going cRaZy. At this pace Albert may get to 700 by month’s end.

Edman grounds it neatly down to Alcantara at 3rd and he’ll scoop it up and make his long throw to 1st base a true one…..1 down.

    DeJong strikes out swinging.

Knizner drills a shot into the left field corner and Andrew had himself a 2-bagger.

Nooty lines a single to right and that’ll score Nooty….tie ballgame ….Walker at 1st base inexplicably cut that throw off or I do believe AZ would still have their lead.

I suppose it’s too late for Albert to join the triple crown conversation.

Don’t think I have heard Dan more enthusiastic than on Albert’s second home run. That was incredible.

Not sure what is going on with Yadi, but to miss this from his best friend is a shame.

Love watching Dejong bat! Laughable! I am 62 and didn’t pitch when I played but I’m reasonably sure I could get him out and maybe strike him out!

Both Hudson and Gallegos are indeed painful to watch Euro. But watching DeJong bat might be worse than either of those.
