Tekoah Roby #3Hi Brian, Your current total players on the matrix should be 226. You never accounted for the claim of Siani on 9/2. Thanks for all the great work you do here!

Hi Brian, Any news on OF Elijah Cabell? MILB originally said he was released from Peoria on 7/24. His MILB player page says released, but the transactions page is now just blank for 7/24. he hasn’t played a game with Peoria since 7/15.
Not sure I understand why Jordan Walker is not starting today with a current 13-game hitting streak? Some freak injury yesterday?
Thanks Euro Dandy for the clarification. Scott should have been running to first anyways!!
Hi All,
Looking for some clarification on the Peoria Game on Friday night?? Is a passed ball on a third strike basically like a ground ball to the infield? In the 9th with two outs and men on 2nd and 3rd, Victor Scott II swung at a third strike but the ball was missed by the catcher allowing the runner from 3rd to score. However, Scott II never ran down to 1st so the catcher retrieved the ball and threw to 1st, ending the inning. I was thinking that the runner scored before the out on a passed ball so it counted, but it was not scored that way. Peoria ended up giving up a run in the 10th and lost the game.
Brian talked about that in the article. They have the total as 69 even though it was really 70. So, Yes the total is 128.
Hi Cardsfan,
I did see those other three catchers, but I didn’t count them as they originally came in as STEP camp members. Still good to see 7 guys come over from the DSL. I have to agree with Jnevel and don’t think they will all stay stateside though.
Hi Jnevel, I see 4 DSL guys, C Makiel Hernandez, INF Anyelo Encarnacion, INF Jonathan Mejia, and RHP Leonel Sequera.
Hopefully Gallo learns to either bunt or hit to the opposite field!!
I have not run into any problems with the MLB.TV or MILB.TV. I have had both for about 3 years now. I live in Michigan, so any Detroit game that is televised is blacked out on MLB.TV. As far as MILB.TV, St Louis is listed as my favorite team, but I do not have any problems with any minor league teams be it St Louis affiliates or any other MLB Team affiliates. Hope this helps answer some of your questions.
Thanks for the explanation, Brian. I didn’t think 2022 would count since it is only a partial season.

Hi Brian, I know you have discussed it before, but I thought a player drafted in 2022 would not have to be protected until 2026, 4 years after being signed? For instance, Jimmy Crooks was drafted/signed in 2022. I was thinking he would not need to be protected until 2026, but I noticed you had 2025 in your most recent prospect article.
Thanks,
Larry Cardinal
Have to say I agree completely with Rats completely. What a stupid rule. Ghost runner!!!
