Victor Scott at #5 for me. The speed and glove will play…he could be a Kiermaier 4 in the majors.

I’ll tab the young phenom out of beautiful Powder Springs, Georgia here at #5…….Victor Dwanyne Scott. My perpetual thanks to Mr. Nevel and hardy welcome to the esteemed LouisEu. This voting at #5 may be the largest landslide since Reagan in ’84.

Scott at #5 for me. His bat may never get to major league average, but if he can get to .250 with a reasonable OBP, his speed will play for a couple of years. I think he’s shown enough improvement this year to bet on a slightly below to league average bat with good OBPs that can wreak some havoc on the base paths and play a good to great CF. So in short it feels like he has a floor as a quality bench guy with an outside shot of being an All-Star!

Bernal at 5. Scott is tempting, but I remember Alex Cole. Bernal’s ceiling matches anyone, and could be even higher if his bat steps forward.

Haha!!! Bobby’s post was so darn witty and funny that I just may move Leonardo Abdiel Bernal up the charts a tick or two from where I originally had him at #14.

So, Is C Ivan Herrera still rookie eligible or not? Just checking in!

Ircardinal – We’ve been going by Jnevel’s very first post on this thread where he said that Herrera is not eligible. That would be incorrect if the only criteria are 130 plate appearances and/or 45 days on the major league roster.

Some guys aren’t eligible because of service time. Herrera is one of those. There are 3 qualifiers – plate appearances, innings pitched, and service time.

11 for Scott, 2 for Hjerpe, 2 for Bernal, 1 for McGreevey, and 1 for Rom. That closes round 5.

I like Graceffo, Hjerpe, and Rajic, but will go Bernal again here. If Lukan Baker really turns put to be Frank Thomas, shouldn’t we discuss him this time at the very least?

My vote is for Luken Baker at #6.
Voted the #1 first baseman in the entire minor leagues in 2023. Made the post season all minor league All Star team at his position.

His AAA numbers were staggering this season –
    .334/.440/.720/1.159.

33 home runs and 98 RBI in only 84 games and 380 PAs. That’s crazy good.

#6 – McGreevy again. Put up 134 innings in AAA. Better than league average ERA.

Brian established at the beginning of the thread that Luken Baker isn’t eligible due to service time. BCCran – can you change your vote?

We will have to remember to get Chase Davis in decently soon even though his debut was unspectacular. Does anyone know if he projects as a legit CF, or is he going to have to hit enough for corner OF?
