Baseball is a marathon. I watch em every night. I don’t want a barely better than 500 team squeak in to the wildcard. I want to watch good defense good pitching and timely hitting. (Oldschool nl ball). I want them to grind out wins all yeaŕ. When playoff time gets here, you have a chance. I don’t want to watch a streaky team barely make it in with nothing but a prayer to advance.

Yet again you forget about the NTC both have and one has made it clear he wants to stay.

I haven’t forgotten about it. Just because they have it doesnt mean you can’t trade them with their approval. Mo just hasn’t been able to make a deal that works for both parties. I have my doubts he can or will. They probably will still be here the rest of the year. On the other hand, i have serious doubts Bloom will start next season with either of those guys on the roster. Whatever that takes. Financial incentive to accept a deal or threat to be part time players.

I like it Ghost. Have to offload Contreras and Arenado. There’s some who will hate it. I think it’s the only way to crawl back to relevance. ’28.

Nothing of any substance will happen at the td. Whatever you can get for Helsley is all.

long it will take to matriculate through the system.

Sounds like however long it takes them to learn a ML secondary pitch or 2.

Walker has closed his stance substantially and is not quite as upright. He looks much better.

You need blue font there JJ.

G you ask a good question. My answer is based 100% on opinion. Unless ownership spends it doesnt matter if you keep them all. They won’t be competitive next year and 27′ is in peril because of looming labor strife. We all know they aren’t going to spend. 28. That’s my answer.

Im betting Contreras and Arenado are gone before od 2026. Neither one serves a purpose and both are in the way of players we hope can. Gray is needed.

I would love to know who’s decision it was to keep him this season instead of using him to help stock the new player developement system. I think we know the answer. There’s no guarantee Bloom will be the savior of this organization. But It’s been really sad watching the slow death of the Mo Regime. They didnt do him any favors by keeping him around.

Arenado hits than runs into an out. Pathetic base running.

In Colorado I would take the over if Sandy Koufax was pitching.

The Brewers have some smart baseball people. Ownership listens to them. They move players at the right time when their value is high. They’re roster is streamlined and they have a plan. Sentimentality over players doesn’t factor in.

Kip Wells was the worst starting Cardinals pitcher I can recall. Mikolas is making me forget all about him.

I’m watching the game.Arenado isn’t going to reach 2 war this year. That just isnt acceptable.

It is a multi year wait on the pipeline, with no quick fix.

Did we just waste a year of that wait? Maybe not. Opinions?

I’d like to see the org become whole in player development, drafting, scouting, trades, etc. rather than chasing their tail.

It’s Sunday so I give that a big AMEN! That’s why Arenado and others have to be moved out. They serve no purpose toward this goal.

For me there’s just a lot of frustration. Yes Arenado is the best we have right now, and that really sucks. If Gorman was a clear answer, he would be playing everyday somewhere and not on the IL. But that’s just third base and only one of the problems that stands in our way back to relevancy. I’ve watched this game for a long time, and when my frustration reaches its current levels, it’s time to watch the game in it’s purist form. Little league. No names on the jerseys no concessions no parking issues. The rules are even better.

Please don’t be sensible about the Arenado situation. I get it. But we still don’t have the Gorman question answered and we aren’t going to without trading him if Arenado is still here. Fine he’s a 2 war player, but all of that is built on defense. And historically you need some power from that position. His is gone and won’t be back. I realize they aren’t going to dfa Arenado. But if and when they do trade him, the return won’t be much better.

Who’s the 3B that is forcing the Cards to move on from Nolan

Any of them on the roster. Gorman Donovan Saggesse Westerholr. Any of them are better options.Floyd Rayford might be a better option.

Based on what, exactly? Who’s the 3B that is forcing the Cards to move on from Nolan? I don’t see the Cards eating all that cash just to move on, especially when he’s not exactly terrible at this point anyway.

Based on he can’t hit anymore. Sub 700 ops. That doesn’t hack it.

they’re beginning to make the Redbird setup look second rate.

Beginning? That’s why we have to bite the bullet and rid ourselves of all expiring contracts and Arenado.Fill the roster with viable players. If they fail to progress, move on from them.

Arenado can’t be allowed to return in ’26. Under any circumstances. Release him if you have to. Nothing personal against him. It’s just time.
