He’s had plenty of opportunities to hit MLB pitching. Even a good 20 game run still wouldn’t make me a believer because he would still have 31 games to go into his patented slumps
I have this feeling theyre’ done with him.
I will expand on that. They give him the rest of the year for his “injury” to heal than he waives his ntc for whatever deal they can make in the offseason. Yes I made all that up. Yeah, those Mets were really something in ’69, KCB. The Redbirds made a little run at them in August and I can still hear Harry Caray singing a song he made up on the KMOX radio broadcasts…”The Cardinals are coming, tra-la-la-la, the fans are all cheering, hurrah-hurrah”…He was either half tight or entirely loaded depending upon the inning…Haha! He was my all time favorite.

My first wifes uncle had a bar downtown. He and Harry were friends. Harry came there after the games when the Cubs were in town. It was a small, dark, hidden little place where Harry could enjoy some anonymity. I can assure you if he wasnt pretty tight before he got there he was after.

Haha…Yeah, KCB, he liked to drink beer and have a good time. I met him when I was a kid at the old Busch’s Grove. He liked to hold court there and eat and drink beer at the bar. My paternal grandfather liked to hang out there too and would take my younger brother and I there to eat from time to time when we were kids. Fond memories of baseball and family.
Great play with Winn. Winn’s glove is very exciting. His bat is around league average, but that glove more than makes up for it.
