FIP,DIP BullSh*t.The fact remains neither Carpenter or Fowler are hitting worth a crap.Add in that neither plays defense worth a damn and you have two guys who need to go places .Carpenter to the DL and Fowler anywhere else.Carpenter in a Lefty Ty Wiggington now.Fowler is simply the Danny Jackson of OFs.Send him packing anywere .

Neill not be player of the month?He still is only 22.Not 23 yet.Hitting great at 2 levels higher than Yeprez.Yeprez is doing very good but ONeill is doing it at the highest minor league level.I would be happy if Fowler was sitting on the bench for another team.As for Carpenter..I like the guy but there has to be something wrong physically IMO.He is not the same guy.How long can MM keep going with 2 subpar guys every day?That and Graniteglove Martinez who has cooled off quite a bit is not helping much either.
Its time to Sit Carpenter and if there is a physical issue then fix it.Fowler just plain stinks.Trade him for any prospect if you can get anything for him.Fowler and Carpenter are the past.
Stupid damned mangement.All they accomplished was bringing up the hottest hitter in AAA and cool him off by only giving him 1 start and 4 Pinch hit ABs.Instead Cards kept rolling the totally overpaid inept Fowler and Carpenter out everyday.So now we have .170 and .160 hitting daily for the punch and judies.Damned stupid.I still hate 13 man pitching staffs.Hell wh not just keep a backup Catcher and Greg Garcia and go with 15 freaking pitchers.Dammit.

I would rather have both Bowman and brebbia working their roles out of the pen instead of paying 14 million to Holland which will turn out badly IMO.
DeJong is just in a slump.Saying Dave Kingman 2.0 is silly.DeJong has been in a funk but so far he hasn
t sucked like Pham in 2016 who sucked over 200 ABs.DeJong will get it together.Hes too good a player.With shoulder and back issues i just don
t see how he can play well enough to justify being in the lineup daily.He certainly hasnt so far.Would a stint on the DL be a solution or just postponing maling a real decision.I am not a REDs fan at all.I do think they are not as bad as they have shown this season.I think they are going to live and die with the younger pitcherts and in that ballpark there will be lots of growing up the hard way for any pitchers.

t the old days of 1 team for a whole career (it happens rarely).Players go for the money and where they think they can contend.i certainly would have loved to see AP retire as a lifetime Cardinal but it wasnt to be.I wish him well and hope he gets his 3000 hits and has a decent year and then retires.I don`t want to see him drop his career average under .300 like Mantle did.O`Neill has a career walk rate better than Jose Garcia and Oscar Mercado and is even with Randy Arozarena.
Show me a major league player who never gets in a slump or never has a bad stretch.Easy answer.There hasn`t been one.
