The Cardinals are going to be careful not to get “Randy’ed” or “Voit’ed” again.

or Alcantara’d or Marco Gonzalezed ect…

alot are wanting Arenado but for less $ and shorter fill in til Gorman what about Jose Ramirez? Im sure we would have some trade pieces that would work. Maybe Trevor Bauer as a FA pitcher. And maybe Wong + Oneil for Merrifield.
    RF-Merrifield
    2B-Edman
    1B-Goldschmidt
    3B-Ramirez
    CF-Carlson
    SS-Dejong
    LF-Ravelo
    C-Molina
    p OR dh ???

O’neill has been passable, and Thomas has had a few decent moments, and Bader is Bader.

I actually think Bader is ahead of Thomas right now. Bader hasnt had had errors, misplays and getting picked off. And the hitting is kinda a wash right now. Boy if Carlson had little more time in he would steal a corner spot now. But like as stated 24 more STs to go to get it all clicking

hmmm no one really wants CF
Bader .300BA 4Ks swinging at low outside still
Thomas.250BA 2Ks missplaying balls in the field
its early but of those 2 its looking like Bader so far.
Carlson looking pretty good but will be coming later after some time in AAA

“On your team, Bader is the starting CF and Thomas is the reserve. Ravelo isn’t competing with Thomas as much as he is with Sosa, Munoz, Knizner, Dean and Williams.”

I see Ravelo competing for a spot with Thomas. If Thomas cant cut it and you need a different CF you slide Fowler over.

Ravelo actually didnt look bad. I still think Edman is best on the infield (good hands) . Still holding hope Oneill takes left and runs with it and Baders bat shows up.

    Ranking the offensive ceilings –

    1.) Carlson
    2.) Williams
    3.) O’Neill
    4.) Thomas
    5.) Bader

    Look about right?

    I would put it at
    1) Oneil- most power
    2) Carlson-best avg and power combo
    3) Bader- not alot of power but expect on base pct. to be better
    4) Thomas-not a believer of his MLB flash being sustained
    5) Williams-Im not as up to date on him

    5) DeJong
    6) Carpenter

all those harping on Baders .205 last year..what if his .264 the year prior is just as reliable of a stat? or even split the difference at .235? If he is in those areas then baserunning becomes a factor.

    interesting info?
Carpenter’s contract includes a no-trade clause for 2020 and 2021, although it does not take effect until Opening Day; his current contract includes a $1 million trade assignment bonus that would apply anytime between now and the start of the regular season.
