I feel like we had one of these last year and I’m itching to watch some baseball (even if it’s going to be on a delay for me most likely on Saturday).
Game 1: Mets at Cardinals
1:05 PM ET, Roger Dean Stadium (I believe this one is on MLB.tv)
No news on the starters yet but I did read that we will see a lot of different pitchers, including Brett Cecil in this one. I’m hoping to do a regular old GameDay experience for some of these spring games.
February 20, 2020 at 9:39 pm #123128Yep, time to get the juices flowing. Doesn’t seem right though, it snowed today where I live in Virginia (first we’ve had this year) and schools are closed Friday.
February 21, 2020 at 7:24 am #123136Flaherty will start Saturday. Marcus Stroman will pitch for the Mets. This is on FS Midwest.
On Sunday at their place, now called Clover Park(!), Steven Matz will pitch. The game is on SNY (and MLB.tv).
As a reminder, the full spring radio and TV schedule is posted right here at TCN.

February 22, 2020 at 8:16 am #123260Geez, Edman has already displaced Dejong as starting SS? 😉😂
February 22, 2020 at 9:21 am #123261bccranParticipantSplit squad today, 25.
February 22, 2020 at 9:43 am #123262To be clear, the Mets have a split squad today, but the Cardinals do not.
February 22, 2020 at 9:43 am #123263Shildt also confirmed this morning that Wong, DeJong, Bader will be in the travel party for Port St. Lucie tomorrow. #stlcards have to bring vets.

February 22, 2020 at 9:46 am #123264In the lineup photo, what is the difference between the names in the Red, Blue and Black? I tried to figure out the pattern but couldn’t.

Blues = Switch Hitter
Black = Right Handed
Red = Left HandedFebruary 22, 2020 at 10:40 am #123266bccranParticipantThanks, Brian. I wonder why they say split squad on the official Cardinals Spring Training game schedule.
Do you know why Bader isn’t in the lineup?
February 22, 2020 at 11:11 am #123269“Do you know why Bader isn’t in the lineup?”
Scroll up for that answer
February 22, 2020 at 11:16 am #123270bccranParticipantGot it, Carter. Thank you.
February 22, 2020 at 11:46 am #123271You’re welcome
BTW the game’s on FSMW
February 22, 2020 at 11:58 am #123272Just as long as Tommy Edman is starting somewhere. He is not a starter anywhere…He is a starter everywhere.
February 22, 2020 at 12:07 pm #123273Blues = Switch Hitter
Black = Right Handed
Red = Left HandedWell, that was way simpler than I expected it to be. Lol. Thanks
February 22, 2020 at 12:08 pm #123274On to the game…Flaherty starts us off with a strike!!
February 22, 2020 at 12:18 pm #123276“Just as long as Tommy Edman is starting somewhere. He is not a starter anywhere…He is a starter everywhere”
No kidding. But I wanna see him at 3B permanently!
February 22, 2020 at 12:21 pm #123277Carp inside outs one into LF for the first Cards base hit!
February 22, 2020 at 12:21 pm #123278Carp peels off a shot to LF????
February 22, 2020 at 12:28 pm #123280Carp looked to have a bit more zip on his throw to first in the top of the 2nd there. Maybe the strength training was for real?
February 22, 2020 at 12:36 pm #123281Jack finished his 2 innings…allowed a couple hits, a couple Ks. Looked fairly in control.
February 22, 2020 at 12:39 pm #123282Tyler O’Neill crushes one over the LF wall! 1-0 Cards
February 22, 2020 at 12:46 pm #123283Danny Mac just mentioned that the exit velo on O’Neills bomb was 115.3 mph. Sounds like he’s picking up where Ozuna left off.
