Watched O’Neil for two and a half years here in Memphis, his defense is sound, not iffy, better than Ozuna. It’s the Ks he needs to work on.
In Memphis Ravello was who you wanted at the plate if you needed a hit, he was superb in the clutch.
He was here in Memphis for a Cardinal caravan two years ago. I asked him about his dad being Mr. Canada. He talked with such pride and said his dad was still put together at 69. I asked him if he arm wrestles him and he said his dad never loses.
Perhaps that’s why I pull so much for Tyler. I’ve met him a few times and he’s a real well mannered, nice kid.
1982 willie, which Tyler O’Neill have you been watching? He’s a big improvement defensively over Ozuna.
I saw both O’Neil and Pham in Memphis. I don’t think Pham was any faster, O’Neil can fly and is a plus defensively. He just strikes out too much.
Yeah, Koufax, Feller, Hubbell and Walter Johnson would be #3 starters or might even wind up in Triple A today……Right.
First Lane wanted to trade Musial to the Phillies in 1956 and August Busch put his foot down. Then Lane wanted to trade Ken Boyer to the Pirates in 57. That cost him his job.

Just met and got Jack Flaherty, Justin Williams, & Tyler Webb”s autographs at the Memphis Cardinal’s Caravan stop. I never realized that Flaherty is a pretty good sized fellow and quite friendly. Williams is a Patriots fan, too bad, smiles a lot. Webb’s quiet but friendly.
Bo Hart and Scott Terry were there too, I’ve met Bo Hart many times being a Memphis season’s ticket holder since 2000 and Terry was giving the kids a bunch of pointers.
Every Cardinal I’ve ever met has been 1st class except Allen Craig. He was a horse’s a**.
I still think O’Neill deserves a shot at LF. I saw them all down here in Memphis. I still perk up when he gets an AB in St.Louis which hasn’t been too often. He hit some bombs at Auto Zone. Got the glove too.
I’ve seen them all come through Memphis as a season ticket holder. I say give O’Neill a shot in left and Arozarena a shot in center. O’Neill has tremendous power, a good glove, good arm and is almost as fast as Bader. If he can’t figure out major league pitching by June 1 dump him and call Carlson up. If O’Neil is hitting he’s good to have come up after Goldy. Arozarena is just great in the clutch. I never see him hitting a bunch of HRs but down here he’s always come through just when you’ve needed him to. The Curt Flood type. Let him and Bader fight over center. I guess we’re destined to see Fowler in right, could he just maybe bat over .250.
Thomas has just been average down here though he shows pop every now and then. He needs a bit more everyday play. I don’t give Fowler or Carp much leeway with Edmans around.

Trust me I’ve watched both here in Memphis, Garcia can’t handle one either. He strikes out way way to much and it’s always on a Triple A breaking ball. O’Neill did fairly well when Ozuna went down. He’s a better fielder, has an equal if not better arm, better power and can run circles around Garcia.
Garcia was a nice guy, so is O’Neill but Bye Bye Adolis, good luck. go to Japan.
Memphis Redbirds season ticket holder here. The thought that Garcia is better than Ravello is nuts. Garcia is awful, Ravello is one of the ones I want batting in clutch situations. Garcia can’t deal with breaking pitches, he makes Tyler O’Neill look good. I’ve seen him play for three years now and all I can say is good riddance.
Stick O’Neill and LF, I saw enough of him here in Memphis that I feel he deserves a good shot at starting besides he’s a lot of money saved that could be used to find a competent closer.
I like J. Martinez’s crazy antics too, every bench needs it’s comedian. He’s always been good in the clutch also, he’s your 26th man.
Having been a Memphis Redbird season ticket holder since 2000 I’ve seen pretty much all of the outfielders play. I have to wonder why all the disrespect for Tyler O’Neill? He’s a B+ fielder, can play anywhere out there, made some real nice plays down here, has a better than average arm, can hit a baseball as far as anyone on the planet, has almost Bader like speed and to top it off is just a downright nice kid. I think he deserves a better chance than what the Cardinals have given him. When Ozuna was hurt he wasn’t anymore a liability than anyone else gracing the Busch Stadium outfield. Hitting breaking pitches might work it’s way out if he gets some more at bats.
