Church is playing in his 6th ML game. He has 2 hits, scored 5 runs and has 5 RBI. I want to see him start quite a few games and see if he can do it in the majors. I’m OK with his start, so far.

How many of those “kids” do they hurt their development by bringing them up too early. Haven’t we already done that with Gorman and Walker. I agree that we could replace Contreras and Arenado with what the Cardinals already have but they don’t have enough starting pitchers ready to replace Gray, also.

I’m not sure what will play out at 2B, C, and LF. I also predict that will be a tough first 6.

Gorman deserved an error on the bunt throw. However, Contreras didn’t help by already being anchored with his feet on first and not being able to attempt to knock the throw down.

While the stadium is definitely empty, it does seem like there are more fans at the game then there was early in the season. However, that may be due to summer.

I have felt that Wilson’s stretch for throws at first is by far his biggest weakness.

If they call that throw by Gorman an error, that’s too bad. Goldschmidt would have had that throw while still on the bag and made it look easy.

Wetherholt since August 1: .231 BA and .731 OPS. That is about 1/3 of his time in AAA. He may need a couple of months, at least, at AAA next year.

Could DeWitt just be setting the team up for a work stoppage in the next Labor negotiations? If not, it seems that the team will need to sign at least 1 starting pitcher and start to upgrade the lineup.
