Dejong now 0 for 15 with 10 k’s! And sadly he will probably be back out there tomorrow! Don’t we have a young phenom in our system? Winn maybe! Bring him up and see how he does! He could NOT do worse!
August 19, 2022 at 9:53 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 118 thread – Friday, August 19 at Arizona #196382Dandy, my opinion about Dejong will never change! I have watching baseball for 50 Years plus and have never seen someone given more chances than this guy! And every time he proves he can’t do it, but still he plays! Why? Maybe he is dating Mo’s daughter?

August 19, 2022 at 9:08 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 118 thread – Friday, August 19 at Arizona #196364Dejong back to his old self again! Man I hope we don’t have him next year! It’s just ridiculous to keep running him out there!
August 14, 2022 at 3:31 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 114 thread – Sunday, August 14 vs. Brewers #195541My favorite moment of the year so far! Albert is getting hot!
August 14, 2022 at 3:14 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 114 thread – Sunday, August 14 vs. Brewers #195526Never mind, let’s keep hitting Carlson and O’Neill 1 and 2! Lol!
August 14, 2022 at 2:52 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 114 thread – Sunday, August 14 vs. Brewers #195519Just seems Carlson does so much better batting 6 or 7! Every time we put him at lead off his stats go straight down! Edman has best avg on team after 2 big boys! He should be lead off until he crumples to 230 or below which I don’t think he will! They won’t leave Carlson at lead off much longer IMO!

August 14, 2022 at 2:06 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 114 thread – Sunday, August 14 vs. Brewers #195496Don’t like Carlson and O’Neill batting 1 and 2! Bet these guys are both batting less than 150 after all star break! There job is to get on for Goldy and Arenado and they rarely get on! Carlson has hit the ball out of the infield maybe once in the last 6 games! Edman has 3rd best average in team and is super fast and should be hitting lead off and I’d rather have Donovan over O’Neill even against a lefty!O’Neill is gonna end up being another Grichuk!
August 11, 2022 at 5:01 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 111 thread – Thursday, August 11 at Rockies #195102I think Marmol is the worst we have had since at least 1995 in dealing with bullpen changes! He makes mistakes weekly if not daily!
August 11, 2022 at 4:28 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 111 thread – Thursday, August 11 at Rockies #195090I feel like the only person on earth who thinks good things are gonna happen when Cabrera comes in is Marmol! Everyone else from coast to coast knows what is about to happen!
August 5, 2022 at 10:20 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 106 thread – Friday, August 5 vs. Yankees #194211Well I have seen it all! I’m pretty sure the world is ending today!
August 5, 2022 at 9:51 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 106 thread – Friday, August 5 vs. Yankees #194202Dejong can’t see the Mendoza line with a telescope!
August 5, 2022 at 9:46 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 106 thread – Friday, August 5 vs. Yankees #194199Pugs let, don’t know if I was too good but was dam sure batting better than 136! Lol!
August 5, 2022 at 9:39 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 106 thread – Friday, August 5 vs. Yankees #194197I have to wonder in the history of the mlb has there ever been a team starting a short stop in August with a 136 batting average! It is just ridiculously stupid! Man if I got as many chances as Dejong does I’d probably still be married!
August 4, 2022 at 9:50 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 105 thread – Thursday, August 4 vs. Cubs Game 2 #194081Up 7 to 2 and Stratton walks the first two batters! The new guy fits really guy in with the rest of our pen! Lol!
August 4, 2022 at 9:25 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 105 thread – Thursday, August 4 vs. Cubs Game 2 #194071OMG a miracle just occurred! Cabrera just pitched a 1,2,3 inning! We are truly on a roll!
August 4, 2022 at 8:58 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 105 thread – Thursday, August 4 vs. Cubs Game 2 #194056Is Jordan Hicks ever gonna learn to throw strikes? My son played against him twice in Houston and beat him both times basically by telling the 5-9 hitters to stand in the box and hope for a walk, which they got at least half the time! What bothers me is he was exactly the same pitcher then he is now!
Lol, good point! At least he is durable!
He won’t win the Cy Young sitting on the sideline which is where he is as often or more than he is not! Alcantara will win the Cy Young long before Flaherty will and we gave him away!
forsch31 I totally agree we need top of the line starters to win it all! My question is when is the last time we really went out and got a number 1 or 2 starter? Milder? Carpenter? That is a lifetime ago! We have had the minor league depth for several years now and how many top of the rotation pitchers have we added? Zero! Jack Flaherty might have been good but at this point I doubt he will ever be Top guy for a whole season! He hasn’t been yet! We MUST upgrade through trades and the deadline is as good a time as any to do this but we never do! When you look at our starting 5 against Dodgers, Braves, Padres, Mets it simply doesn’t stack up and again we have done nothing to fix it! Go out and get a number 5 starter. Give me a break!
Gscottar, are you trying to get my hopes up again? Lol! They have been dashed so many times the last decade I don’t think they can be saved! Going to take a nap! When I wake up we will have acquired Ohtani, Syndegaard and Lopez! Lol!
I agree they are not comparable! One went out and got a completely new outfield and win it all and the other did little or nothing and I don’t think has any chance to win anything! If our current roster wins it all it will be a UNREAL! I would think our chances of not making the playoffs at all are greater than our chances of winning it all!
Man I wish we could get that kind of rental and hoist a trophy! Don’t think Quintana and Stratton are gonna do it though! David, is what we did this year at the deadline giving our team the best chance to hoist the trophy?
