Our lefty relievers are lacking
August 11, 2022 at 4:28 pm #195090I feel like the only person on earth who thinks good things are gonna happen when Cabrera comes in is Marmol! Everyone else from coast to coast knows what is about to happen!
August 11, 2022 at 4:29 pm #195091Cabrera is McFarland today
August 11, 2022 at 4:30 pm #195092Why can the Cardinal pitchers not throw strikes?????
Is it Maddux?

stlcard25ParticipantThere goes the series. I’ll go ahead and put this one on Marmol…you simply have to understand that Hicks is a one inning guy at this point.
August 11, 2022 at 4:32 pm #195094Well, at least we won’t see Stratton…

ParticipantThings went sour pretty fast here. But we got some boppers, maybe we can make it close
August 11, 2022 at 4:43 pm #195097That helps.
August 11, 2022 at 4:45 pm #195098That helps too.
August 11, 2022 at 4:45 pm #195099Need a BB, bloop and a blast.

ParticipantWell Woodford has looked really good so far. He will probably be optioned down at the end of this game.
August 11, 2022 at 5:01 pm #195102I think Marmol is the worst we have had since at least 1995 in dealing with bullpen changes! He makes mistakes weekly if not daily!
August 11, 2022 at 5:09 pm #195103
stlcard25ParticipantThe Cards are making it respectable, but it stings to know that better bullpen management could easily have resulted in the W.
August 11, 2022 at 5:22 pm #195105Hey Steve…Ha ha! Man, you’re going back to Torre/Jorgenson. Joe got a little better when Mariano showed up…
August 11, 2022 at 5:26 pm #195106Had the right guys in batter’s box. Just couldn’t get it done. Blame it on the BP, I guess.
August 11, 2022 at 5:30 pm #195108
stlcard25ParticipantWell, the tying or winning run was in play for Gorman, Goldy and Arenado. Not much more you could hope for. They didn’t come through. Tough series but hopefully they bounce back for Milwaukee.
August 11, 2022 at 5:30 pm #195109Coulda, coulda, coulda, but dint. Oh well, bring on dose Brewers!
August 11, 2022 at 5:37 pm #195110I’ve seen Cabrerra get touched up a time or two, but I can’t recall seeing him take a beating like he endured today. Man alive…4 ER’s on 4 hits of which 2 were HR’s without recording a solitary out. Ferdie “The Fight Doctor” Pacheco couldn’t have helped him today.
August 11, 2022 at 5:39 pm #195111stlcard25…Yep, tough to claw back from a 6 run deficit with only 6 left outs in the bank.

ParticipantCabby should of had just the 1 inng, then brought Woody in. Probably would have won the dam game.

jj-cf-stlParticipantAt leadoff Noot was 1 for 3, double, and 2 BB.
Batting second Gorman was 2 for 4, single and HR, and 1 BB.
Fine job at the top of the lineup. -
