FanDuel // KMOX // WIJRAugust 27, 2025 at 8:19 am #291410When the staff ace has a 4.33 ERA you know what kind of year you’re having…
August 27, 2025 at 8:35 am #291411Fro here to the end is just watching paint dry.
August 27, 2025 at 11:58 am #291414It pains me to say this, but……I’m not watching anymore. At least very little.
There go the meteorological reports.

PLEASE reconsider your hasty decision, Rat. I think that I speak for many here at The Cardinal Nation in saying that your absence from our game threads would be so terribly missed. I count on your early meteorological reports to plan my days or evenings. Where else can you get a timely, pertinent and amazingly accurate weather lowdown than right here at The Cardinal Nation, compliments of the esteemed Rat? And as an added bonus, we not only are privy to the meteorological projections for Cardinal games, but also for the entire S.W. Indiana region……all in one majestic fell swoop. Then there’s the matter of Rat’s din-din revelations. I’m sure many here have plagiarized Rat’s din-din docket for their own personal usage…
.I know I have on several occasions. You can’t be a quitter, Rat. You don’t see any Cardinal players cashing in their chips early do you. In summation, I have just 3 words for Rat……GO THE DISTANCE.August 27, 2025 at 5:05 pm #291426Well, I might find a little time. Doubt I go the distance.
But…..appears to be all clear in the greater metro St. Louis area tonight. There is a large band of storms and rain in the SW Missouri area now but it appears to be heading SE, into the Arkansas area. And it’s sunny and unseasonable mild here in SW Indiana. The long range forecast once again calls for hotter temps starting several days from now.
And yes, today’s din-din was the weekly trip to the Gasthof, the Amish restaurant. Along with a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar out on the bench in the front porch area afterwards.
r/Esteemed Rat
August 27, 2025 at 5:13 pm #291427Yeah Rat, hang in there! The season is not what we would like it to be, but there is still some good baseball to watch. Some bad too, but at least the other team is good to watch on occasion. 😀

jj-cf-stlParticipantThat RBI pitch to Pages was on the inner black and he still hit behind the runners. Good situational hitting.
August 27, 2025 at 7:49 pm #291439
jj-cf-stlParticipantInner third, back up the middle. Pages has a nice inside-out path to the ball right now.

ParticipantCardinals been threatening to score twice now with no results. Time for somebody to put the ball in play. Already lost a chance too when Sagesse got caught running bases.
