There’s something to be said for fewer TV choices.
There were only three TV channels when I was young. On Sunday afternoons you had a choice of: 1) bowling, 2) golf or 3) Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom with Marlin Perkins and Jim Fowler.
Because I chose #3 I grew up with an immense curiosity and interest in animals. I still adore Marlin and Jim.

I don’t assume intent. I look at a poster’s posting history and the results of the current post. I then decide whether to act or not and, if so, how to proceed.
You know perfectly well Pujols’ given age is 42. NO ONE has submitted substantive evidence to the contrary. No one.
To bring it up now brings nothing but arguments.
Stop.
End of discussion on my part.
September 12, 2022 at 8:22 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 141 thread – Sunday, Sept. 11 at Pirates #200292Cranny,
You deliberately posted your 44-year-old comments to start an argument.Stop.
While I rarely post, I actually read nearly everything, just in case, ’cause that’s what Moderators do.
Just stop.
BTW, the “horse’s mouth”, i.e. primary source, would be Pujols. Not an owner.

August 13, 2022 at 3:08 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 113 thread – Saturday, August 13 vs. Brewers #1953441TD,
I wasn’t referring to Tatis Jr, only the first few sentences of the Wainwright article that appears to equate any player “of great magnitude” not remaining with their original team to “money, greed & ego”. How dare they chase the filthy lucre.Anyway, I don’t have a strong opinion re Tatis Jr except that we’re all flawed and most of us think we’d make stellar choices in situations we’re not likely to encounter… 🙂
A belated Welcome, by the way. I enjoy your posts. Glad you’re here.
August 13, 2022 at 1:04 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 113 thread – Saturday, August 13 vs. Brewers #195329Professional athletes have a skill set for which employers will pay outsized sums of money compared to what many in the general population earn. They also have an small time span in which to capitalize on it. Why wouldn’t they want to maximize their earnings? They’re one injury away from not having that opportunity.
How many out there turned down the opportunity to earn more money to stay with their current employer? I sure never did.
The Wainwright article was so ‘judgy’ that I quit reading after two sentences.
