Congrats to Ivan! Glad he was selected but would have thought Wetherholt or Burleson might have been ahead of him.
Based on how this series has played out so far, do you bring O’Brien in to pitch the 7th?

Finally got to turn the game on 5 minutes ago. Saw the last 2 outs. Guess I missed 22 runs being scored. Going to have to watch the condensed game highlights.
That was a sweet 4-6-3 put out by KC to end the 8th. Not a great game to watch as a Cardinals fan but that play was pretty impressive.

If we were a few games under .500 like most expected you could afford to give Liberatore a chance to figure it out. But given that we are actually in a pennant race you have to consider another option when one of your starters is sporting a 5.23 ERA.
Defense hasn’t helped but Libby is getting shelled. Surely some pitching starved team would take him off our hands for a low level prospect.

As for this evenings din-din, I had a family lunch at the Oklahoma famous Hideaway Pizza so for dinner it was leftover pizza.Gorman’s body language after his strikeout looked like he was ready to give up. You almost have to feel sorry him at this point. I hope he figures it out but I’m not expecting it at this point. I assume they will give him another 2 months of runway but if the Cards somehow continue to be in the playoff hunt I don’t think they can afford to.

I know Scott hasn’t hit well but is anyone else disappointed in his inability to bunt successfully. I seem to remember that one of the off-season narratives was that he was working on his bunting so he could do it more.
Din-din tonight – I am helping my Lions Club serve a free breakfast this weekend and my job was to cook the sausage so spent about 2 hours this morning and cooked 420 sausage links on my Blackstone griddle. Since the griddle was already hot and out I cooked some chicken breasts which I used this evening to make a creamy chicken and spinach pasta. Had some chilled watermelon as a side.
