Direct streaming with no blackouts. As long as the price isn’t outrageous I will be watching Cardinals baseball for the first time in 10 years.5. McGreevy

Just a reminder what he did against major league hitters this year.
W-L = 3-0
ERA = 1.96
IP/H = 23/16
SO/BB = 18/2McGreevy
I guess I will continue to vote for him until I can’t. 😄

Good numbers in AAA plus success in the bigs (small sample size).
Mathew’s had a phenomenal year but struggled in AAA with an ERA over 6 (again small sample size).
Wasn’t sure where to put this so I will put it here. 2025 Draft Lottery odds. Unless we get really lucky we will probably get the 15th draft pick.

Spring training through the end of the season is 8 months. $25/mo for that period would be $200 or about $1 per game.
I personally would be willing to pay that. I’m not sure where my maximum would be.
Disclaimer, I live in an area where I can’t get Bally Midwest and am also in the blackout area so I have only been able to watch about 5 games per season the last 3 years.
Out of curiosity I went to the website “baseballtradevalues.com” to see the value of current Cardinal players. Below I will list several of them.
My observation is that most of the veterans with big contracts have negative trade value so to get anything of value in return we would need to either include sizable amounts of cash or to take back other big contracts. So if we do trade some of them it will be a pure salary dump with little back in return.Winn 38.4
Donovan 29
Herrera 25.7
Nootbar 23.9
Walker 18.4
Scott 15.2

Multiple questions were asked about how the player development system fell off. Every answer danced around the question so there was no real answer.
Several questions were also asked about specifics of how they were going to improve the player development system. Again no specifics were given.
There was one question about if the decrease in attendance and empty seats sent a message by the fans. They basically said no that they had budgeted for decreased attendance.
Lastly, Mo started his prepared opening statement with a smug look on his face and saying that he was going to be back whether people liked it or not.
Mo also took credit for bringing Bloom into the organization.Let the payroll cutting begin.

September 27, 2024 at 3:30 pm in reply to: StL 2024 Game #160 thread – Friday, Sept. 27 at Giants #268048Been wanting to ask this for a while. What exactly is a catfish fiddler? I’m in central Oklahoma and have eaten my fair share of fried catfish fillets and catfish nuggets but have never heard of catfish fiddlers or ever seen them on a restaurant menu. Are these a regional thing? Just curious.
BTW – will be having waffles smothered in butter and syrup for dinner.Looks like changes are coming according to Katie Woo.

Young player development be damned.
