The younger Caray is covering for his dad on Thursday and Sunday, which ironically is Father’s Day.

The Caray clan seem to be an amiable bunch, but I still anxiously await the next Caray who is a near carbon copy of Harray. Yes I know, they probably literally broke the mold after Harry’s birth, but if any person on this earth is going to even closely resemble Harry in both mind and spirit, it’s going to come from their own bloodlines. Let’s hope young Stefan here is that man. If not, then I have little doubt that the Caray clan will continue their quest to birth the next great Harry Caray.

What’s for din-din tonight one may ask? It’ll be a trip on over to Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse for a medium rare ribeye bone-in steak, broccoli, baked potato lathered in butter and sour cream and then for dessert, a cruise through Popeye’s drive thru lane to snag myself not 1……not 2…….not even 3…..but 4 of their scrumptious apple cinnamon pies…….as the esteemed Rat might say “yummy yummy”.

Fruit Pugs! Think fruit! It’s practically mid-summer! The markets are overflowing with delicious, juicy, sweet fruit begging for someone to munch them! Think of that long-ago 32-inch waist. It may be only a dream now, but think 34, it’s within your grasp. Just two cinnamon pies, Pugs, and a bag of fruit! You’ll feel better for it!

Yesterday’s lineup didn’t do anything so might as well sit some guys and go righty heavy vs the lefty.

Solid advice on the fruit, Cardinal in France. But just the thought of those delicious Popeye’s apple cinnamon pies drives me crazy……almost to the same degree that Cheryl Tiegs had me back in the day. Now wouldn’t that be the ultimate combo. A scantily clad Cheryl Tiegs on one arm and a scrumptious Popeye’s apple cinnamon pie going from hand to mouth on the other.

    I’m too old for pie.

Haha…Tailor made GIDP and instead the E-6 Das Boot from KC’s best player!

I’ll try and follow off and on but its going to be a late one. The guy I work with called in with a mysterious case of pink eye. So my dinner will be the Cajun bar at work with a chicken drumstick, side of fried okra with red beans and rice and a side ceasars salad. Washing it down with an ice cold slushy Alpine Blast Poppi.

Good start. Couldn’t be a worse one for Cameron. Make them pay!

Almost have to cash in more than 1 run on the KC blunder.

din din is cheeseburgers from the grill and some of those potato noisettes like CiF had the other day.

    E-6 Das Boot

Love TD’s “Das Boot”…….unless it’s our Birds doing the Das Booting.

They gave us 2 walks, an error and a wild pitch, so we really should have cashed in better.

    Liberatore with the same routine.

Might be time to seriously contemplate sending Libby to the pen for some long, but not too long, relieving duties.

It’s probably happened, but I can’t recall Liberatore ever working a shutdown inning after being staked to a lead. It’s almost as if he feels like he’s obligated to allow at least 1 ER.

Looking like the bullpen gets in early. Might be for the best.

Velasquez simply missed that catch. Probably could have gotten one of the other doubles had he been a normal left fielder. Still, most of this is on Liberatore missing locations.

Defense hasn’t helped but Libby is getting shelled. Surely some pitching starved team would take him off our hands for a low level prospect.
Din din was a bowl of beef udon noodles, a few steamed dumplings and some tasty chilled watermelon.
Royals with 2 more hits and 2 more runs while typing this. 6-2 Royals

This is embarrassing. For both Liberatore and Velasquez.

Liberator pitching like he wants to return to the pen.

The E-7 hurt, but he can’t get anyone out. I don’t know how long you can keep handing him the baseball every 5th day as long as he remains consistently unable to work through an inning without allowing runs. I’m not even sure I’d like to see him enter a game from the BP in a contest that was yet to be decided.

If we were a few games under .500 like most expected you could afford to give Liberatore a chance to figure it out. But given that we are actually in a pennant race you have to consider another option when one of your starters is sporting a 5.23 ERA.

Seems like it should have spiked higher than that after suffering the prolonged 2nd inning barrage.

The headliner in my truck could use some of that aerosol pine tar in a can…
