June 20, 2026 at 6:45 pm #310499Hopefully we will not get swept by the Royals. Fingers crossed that May can continue his stellar pitching in this one.
And din-din this Sunday will be the usual. A ribeye steak in the air fryer, some jumbo crinkle cut french fries, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, a piece of Angel Food cake, and a big bowl of Turkey Hill Homemade Vanilla ice cream.

June 20, 2026 at 7:03 pm #310500Taking a gander at the Saturday scoreboard:
The BlueJays came back from a 5-0 deficit to down the Cubs. 8-6 Toronto your final at Wrigley.
The Reds down the Yankers in the Bronx. 10-2 Cincinnati the final at Yanker Stadium.
Atlanta wins again over Milwaukee. 4-3 Braves over the Brewers at Fulton County Stadium.
About time to jump in the tub, grab a late bit of a couple salisbury steaks and bar-b-q chips, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and then watch the Orioles and Doyers from Doyer Stadium. In case anyone missed it the Orioles gave the Doyers the win last night with two outs in the 9th on a little league play.
June 21, 2026 at 10:47 am #310525Orioles-Dodgers always takes me back in time to 1966 and the O’s sweep. I believe Willie Davis set a Series record making three errors in one inning. Orioles had that mini dynasty winning 4 AL flags in 6 years with Brooks, Frank, Boog and the bunch.
Working the Rox-Bucs today so another scoreboard watching day. Hopefully May continues to pitch well in June. This guy the Royals have going has some good numbers.
Din-din might be leftovers from yesterday’s backyard BBQ – dogs or burgers, lots of choices of salads, watermelon for dessert.

CF N. Church LJune 21, 2026 at 12:05 pm #310528There is a big pile of green stuff that appears to be in central Illinois as I am typing this. Not sure but I suspect the metro St. Louis area just got rained on. Not sure if it’s going to make it’s way down towards us here in SW Indiana or not. Central Indiana looks to be in the line of fire, however.
And not to worry, all clear in the Kansas City area.
About time to start the aforementioned din-din.

June 21, 2026 at 1:10 pm #310529OK, The CiFs have just finished off a din-din of ice cold cantaloupe melon, filet steak, French fries and a bit of beaujolais. Dessert was a bowl of fresh strawberries. Simple and good. Yum!
Rah Cardinals! Let’s give those Royals a good thumping to remember us by.
June 21, 2026 at 1:11 pm #310530Wouldn’t hurt Crooks to get goin with the bat.
June 21, 2026 at 1:13 pm #310531Wetherholt doing his best Rickey impression as he leads off the game with the tater!
June 21, 2026 at 1:17 pm #310532Inserting a minor league update….Memphis needs Rochester to lose and Memphis to win today to win the first half and clinch the postseason. After 3, the Mud Hens are beating Rochester 5-0. Mathews is pitching for the Redbirds. He walked the first batter, then set down the next three in order. It’ll be interesting to see how he does in what, for the minors, is a high pressure game.
June 21, 2026 at 1:23 pm #310533Now that’s what I meant by first-inning thumping!
June 21, 2026 at 1:29 pm #310535That looks more like it, Cards!
And Memphis jumps out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of their first (still going). Baez started the scoring with a three run homer. Bullpen day for Nashville.
Rochester narrowed the Mud Hen lead, 5-2 in the top of the 5th. Memphis needs a Mud Hen win.
June 21, 2026 at 1:32 pm #310536I’d have to say that jumping out to a 1st inning 5 run lead is a good way to avoid the broom, but no lead is safe, so don’t give KC any air.
June 21, 2026 at 1:34 pm #310537I liked it a lot better at 5-0, but I guess 5-2 will have to do.
June 21, 2026 at 1:37 pm #310538Now Church with the lead-off 2nd inning double. Let’s get those 2 runs back.
June 21, 2026 at 1:38 pm #310539Whoa…Whetherholt with the 2 run TATER for his 2nd HR in as many AB’s!
June 21, 2026 at 1:39 pm #310540JJ has been on fire in the month of June
June 21, 2026 at 1:40 pm #310541Haha…I thought Burleson might score!
June 21, 2026 at 1:47 pm #310542I could watch this stuff all day!
June 21, 2026 at 1:49 pm #310543Nice to see Winn with the 2 out RBI IF base hit after that 3 run HR in the 5 run 1st. He’s demonstrated in the past that he’s capable of generating plenty of offensive production. In ’24 he crossed HP 85 times.

June 21, 2026 at 1:54 pm #310545Hoping for the shutdown 2nd inning from May. No lead is ever safe.
June 21, 2026 at 2:05 pm #310546Herrera with the commanding Big League lead in the not so glorified HBP category after being drilled for the 21st time in the 1st inning. In the head…Second place in that category is a distant 15. That ain’t too cool. At some point it has to be clearly telegraphed to the opposition that the Cardinals will no longer tolerate their hitters to be victimized. Hopefully we’ll see some return fire today. I wish TLR was standing on the top step of the dugout.
June 21, 2026 at 2:13 pm #310547This is over the top! Wetherholt now HBP. It’s got to be put to a stop. Now.
June 21, 2026 at 2:15 pm #310548May looks like the rest of our rotation today.
June 21, 2026 at 2:17 pm #310549Yeah, if given a lead to work with, the pitching decides to take off from work.
