Man, great din-din CIF! For me it will be ballpark fare, as I am going to the Rockies-Cubs game as a fan, not working, with the grandson (technically step-grandson but we don’t need technicalities). So it will be the classic hot dog lathered with mustard, relish and sauerkraut, and a tall Coke. I will pass on the cold, frosty ones with the grandkid.

Think I would have sent Gorman down rather than Scott. At this point Victor brings a little more to the table, and Church has not shown me too much more than Vic.

The Brewers and the A’s played last night in Las Vegas. I didn’t think the A’s were moving to Las Vegas until 2028. Was that actually their stadium last night? Is it open already?

No the new stadium in Vegas opens in 2028. You might be wondering why the A’s are playing in a AAA stadium in Sacramento instead of just playing in an AAA stadium in Las Vegas. That is a good question and I don’t have a good answer even though I have follwed this saga rather closely.

They’re probably leaning toward a mindset that tells them that Gorman has a better chance to walk into one every now and again than does Scott, Bikemike. In any case, I’m guessing that Church will generate a little more offensive production than Scott’s been able to provide.

The As are playing two three game series’s at a AAA stadium in Vegas. The rest of the season in Sacramento.

The Mets are 7-3 in their last 10 games and have been playing much better baseball for a roughly month or so since their catastrophic start to the season, so obviously the Cardinals will have to be up on their toes in order to avoid the proverbial ambush on the road in NY. I’d say that tonight’s baseball game is a must win, do or die contest…

It is always about money. The $80 MM local TV deal from Oakland follows them to Sacramento, but not Vegas. Also, the 90 mile distance between Oakland and Sacramento is thought to be close enough that loyal fans would travel in-state to see them.

Haha…I just noticed an article with a heading that announced, “Red-Hot Cardinals Getting Key Reinforcements Back For Mets Series.” The Cardinals are 6-4 in their last 10 games. These under assistant west coast promo guys kill me…

They should change their name to the Las Vegas, Bet 365’s…They could have Vito as their mascot and some guy nicknamed “Tiny” in charge of enforcing the seating arrangements at their new ballpark. They could name it, the Ravenite Stadium and have a yearly special promotion game called, “Five Families Night”…

May showed the ability to make a pitch with the 3-2 to Baty to end the threat in the 2nd. I haven’t seen a whole lot of that from Cardinals SP’ing in a little while.

The Cardinals get some instant help at the bottom of the order with the double from Church to set up the 2 RBI base hit from Whetherholt. Keep the line movin’ boys.

The Nootz gets the job done with the RBI GB to the right side. I’ll take it all day long…4-0 Redbirds.

So far so good with the new lineup. Time will tell of course but it is definitely an improvement offensively.
Din-din this evening was Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Spinach wraps with a can of mandarin orange slices as a side.

Boy, that was a nice looking 3-6-3. A look at Winn’s right arm is worth the $2.50 price of general admission…

I happened to notice that while Cher was interviewing the whiz-kid during the Cardinal 3rd inning, he kept saying to her, “Yeah man”…Cher might not like that.

Gorman’s body language after his strikeout looked like he was ready to give up. You almost have to feel sorry him at this point. I hope he figures it out but I’m not expecting it at this point. I assume they will give him another 2 months of runway but if the Cards somehow continue to be in the playoff hunt I don’t think they can afford to.

I’m probably entirely wrong, but something or other tells me that Church comes with an intangible that you can’t quite name, but nevertheless helps a baseball team win baseball games. I guess he impresses me as a player that scuffles for his supper.

Church got spun around more times than Linda Blair out there in deep CF before making the slick looking Willie Mays basket catch…

Herrera with a can-o-corn to center. Lets pile on.
