The offense looks great but the 2004 team lost the world series. The pitching needs to improve. Stating the obvious 3.1 innings, 5 innings, 5 innings is not going to get it done going forward.
I think Rats you are a big fan of batting averages and RBI. Gorman is batting .288 with 4 homers (tied for most in the team this spring) and first in RBI with 13. But every time he strikes out you jump all over him.
Sorry to disagree. I am a big Jack fan but this clunker on his last spring start is extremely disappointing.
Those are Motter career MLB numbers. He is hitting .233 this spring. I know the 3 homers are a huge.
What is the attraction to Motter making the team? 33 never good. 404 career at bats. .191 Ba .262 OBP .571 OPS.
Really? so what specific moves can a baseball player only do? The hitter can hit the ball wherever he likes so the defense should be able to take a chance predicting where they think that is. I don’t understand what the problem is. Make more rules to prevent shifts that will make the game so much better. Write the chess manual for players defensive positioning. Fun times.
It is a game. There is absolutely no disrespect involve with the shift. The team I dislike the most is Boston so it is not easy to defend them but this is ridiculous. You should be able to position your defenders where you please in order to prevent to other team from scoring.
