I think Marmol is better than ok. He just got picked as a coach in the all star game. But that doesn’t mean I don’t agree with what’s being said about what the main job of a manager is and the role assist coaches play. Because I do.

Marmol has evolved into a good manager for this young team. Bloom is very bright and he wanted him. And not because he’s cheap.
We have some good players to trade at the td and offseason. I’m assuming they’re looking at third baseman.
I agree About Herrera. We have to get him on first base and close the door. He’s a better everyday hitter than dh.
GScott-My crystal ball has Bernal as the primary catcher and RR as the secondary and being used like Herrera and Pages. Herrera and Burly both may be out if Jordan hits like he is in Memphis right now. Baez, Walker, and Church in the outfield. Burly,Crooks , and or Herrera should bring a third baseman assuming Gorman is out. Plus an assortment of pitching. Too many good players isn’t a problem. But too many first baseman and catchers is. We have to trust Bloom to evaluate their talent and make the right moves.
Mud-you are right-we might be. But Herrera hits lefties and righties. Burleson does most of his damage against righties. And Herrera has more power. Neither one of them have defensive value. Flip a coin.
GScott you are right Burly isn’t blocking anyone right now, but he will be. Bernal and Crooks are likely our catchers next year. We need a place for Herrera. Herrera > Burly and has more control left. If Jordan hits here he’s blocking him too. I like Burly but we potentially get better by moving him. Remember, we aren’t just giving him away. He has value.
We don’t have a lot of years control of Burleson. 27&28. 2 years same as Donnie. Burleson can’t hit lefties or field anywhere but first. He will be blocking someone better by the time he is a fa. Donovan was a much better player and we traded him.
In nearly every old picture I have of my dad, he’s holding or chomping on the ever-present cigar. He was a White Owl sort of guy…Haha

I like Blings idea. I don’t think Blaze will ever be a third baseman but stand him out there and see how his bat plays. He doesn’t strike out. Than play him at first next year if he hits. If they traded Donnie they trade Burly.
I think im a Dustin May fan. He acted like he had been there before when he struck out the side with the leadoff man at third. I have my concerns about our phenom in aa.
These pitchers with any control are absolutely living on the outside of the plate against Walker. He has to start laying off.
I really like McGreevy’s demeanor. A little more pinpoint control and he could be an old school assassin.
Lady Bling will do what she can with it but she is in cahoots with the doctor.

I’m coming back from a lovely little procedure this morning after being unable to eat or drink the past 24 hrs. So on the way home I did something I never do which is picked up fast food. It was early and I got Burger King French toast sticks hashbrown patties apple pie and a vanilla shake. Followed up with a nap. For dinner I made miniature potatoes cooked on a cookie sheet than flattened than air fried to crisp. Ciabatta bread and sirloin on the grill. Plenty of Annie’s diet half and half. Ben and Jerry patiently waiting for the third inning. Hi Skip! Loved that guy except all rhd fidgeting he did in-between pitches. I like the shot clock in baseball.
I won’t be entirely happy with his performance until he hits about .330…
