The #stlcards system was 2-0 on Monday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, FCL Cardinals outfielder Kenly Hunter, was 3-for-4, including a double and three RBI. Other standouts include J.P. Cabrera, Yordy Herrera, Cooper Hjerpe, Sebastian Rojas and Luis Estrella.… pic.twitter.com/EwrjGdGFmJ

June 30, 2026 at 6:57 am #311442Franganten was one of the BA prospects of note in the DSL for the Cards. He got his first game action yesterday.
I would have had Rojas as the player of the day. Hunter had a good day but all singles while Rojas walked with a double and HR.
Good to see Hjerpe is at least pitching still. Kind of odd they moved him down a level in rehab if he can still pitch
June 30, 2026 at 7:02 am #311443Weingartner ad Smith for Palm Beach have had very good months. Much like Richardson II, I didn’t think they were prospects. It’s nice to have some pleasant surprises though. They all batted around .300, with Weingartner showing some pop with 11 homers. Hunter has started to hit as well for our FCL team.
June 30, 2026 at 7:50 am #311444Weingartner was one of the guys I liked out of the draft last year and I considered him for my top 50 in the off-season. He got off to a very slow start but has been improving. I think he is only a fringe prospect with more role player upside but that is a good outcome for where he was drafted. His raw power looks more like a 40 though so I wouldn’t expect big HR totals as he advances levels.
Both him and Smith are guys after the draft I assume will get promoted to make room for the new guys. College guys spending a calendar year in A ball isn’t ideal as they need to move up the ladder to be tested or make room for other guys.
July 1, 2026 at 6:10 am #311540The #stlcards system was 2-4 on Tuesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Memphis DH Thomas Saggese, was 4-for-5 including a home run, two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored. Other standouts include Bligh Madris, Won-Bin Cho, Jesús Báez, Rainiel Rodriguez, Josh… pic.twitter.com/q9gci1vk3D

stlcard25ParticipantCho is enjoying Springfield as I thought he might. Good to see him continue to hit well. With all the prospects there, they are becoming a more exciting team to watch. If the bullpen tightens up a bit, they could make some real noise in the second half at the Texas League.
July 1, 2026 at 11:50 am #311554Four of Cho’s first five hits with Springfield are home runs. It would be nice if that continues but it is not likely.
July 1, 2026 at 12:27 pm #311556
stlcard25ParticipantYou mean it’s not likely that he homers once every 5-6 PA and runs a .250/.348/.850 line? That would surely play. Haha
July 1, 2026 at 1:31 pm #311565Won-Bin Killebrew! Hope the young man can at least be an above average batter for the rest of his AA season.
As for Rainiel Rodriguez, he of course initially struggled at Springfield, but he’s really whacking the horsehide now. His first Springfield game was May 12th, and here’s the splits:
May 12 to June 2… .180/.268/.246 with a lousy 6/23 BB/K ratio across 71 plate appearances.
June 3 to present… .342/.451/.592 with an excellent 13/17 BB/K tally in 91 trips to the plate.
His last two homers? Line drives to the opposite field power alley. Things of beauty.
July 1, 2026 at 2:25 pm #311567I love it when prospects seemingly come out of nowhere. Cho was touted when he signed. This year he has finally living up to his promise, at least so far. Others who raised their stock and had a solid month are Weingartner and Smith at Palm Beach. I’m going to back to Brian’s article on when Weingartner was drafted. I didn’t think he had power stats. But he has 11 homers this year.
In fact 3 players we picked up in trades, Martinez, Galle, and Smith have shown promise where I thought there’d be none.July 1, 2026 at 4:03 pm #311570Galle is having a rough time at Peoria.
July 2, 2026 at 1:20 am #311600Galle looks to have a live atm. He reminds me of Svanson if he can have better command. I was expecting nothing of a PTNL.
July 2, 2026 at 3:37 am #311611I didn’t realize that along with Richardsons improved power numbers he has 23 stolen bases. He is quite a high percentage thief.
July 2, 2026 at 7:38 am #311618The #stlcards system was 1-2 on Wednesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Springfield SS Jesús Báez, hit two home runs, scored three runs and drove in four. Other standouts include Bruce Zimmermann, Dakota Harris and Tre Richardson. https://t.co/DH3JZmRbZx pic.twitter.com/kp1gS7b36w

stlcard25ParticipantBaez is still looking like a lower walk rate guy, but as one of the lower on him in our community vote, he’s somewhat proving me wrong this year. It sounds like he’s making fewer of the silly mistakes that plagued him a year ago and his power is really playing up. I have some hopes for him as a 3B long term now (though I see that he’s been playing a lot of SS).
July 3, 2026 at 5:56 am #311708The #stlcards system was 5-1 on Thursday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Memphis OF Joshua Báez, was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, two home runs, and three RBI. Other standouts: Ramon Mendoza, Noah Mendlinger, Tre Richardson III, Won-Bin Cho, Nate Dohm, Jack Martinez… pic.twitter.com/ltE5l5Flui

July 3, 2026 at 6:04 am #311709Huge pitching matchup at Route 66 Stadium in Springfield tonight. MLB Pipeline national no. 5 prospect Kade Anderson for Arkansas (SEA) faces no. 22 prospect Liam Doyle for the @Sgf_Cardinals. pic.twitter.com/AivpmgciNI
— Brian Walton (@B_Walton) July 3, 2026
July 3, 2026 at 10:26 am #311719Wow that is a blockbuster matchup! I wanted the Cards to get Anderson so bad but I figured he wouldn’t be available by the time we picked. Hopefully Doyle can get things on track and start asserting himself.
July 3, 2026 at 10:40 am #311721I’ll piggyback off of Bob. Rainiel has been playing very well after making some adjustments. That is one thing I really like about him. He has struggled initially on promotion to new levels, but not for long as he very quickly adjusts and ups his game.
July 4, 2026 at 6:22 am #311823Cooper Hjerpe is scheduled to make his first start for the @Sgf_Cardinals on Sunday evening at Route 66 Stadium. As a result, LHP Braden Davis gets a couple of extra days rest. He is now slated to open the series in Tulsa on Tuesday. https://t.co/v2fwZbW1Dp

July 4, 2026 at 6:48 am #311824Doyle was decent, but Nunez was dynamite in last night’s 2-1 triumph at Route 66 stadium. Love Rodriguez, but just a teeny weeny red flag in Raniel’s direction with him whiffing in all 4 plate appearances vs top notch pitching (Kade Anderson). I bet next year, if Kade isn’t already plying his trade in Seattle, when Raniel steps into the box vs. Kade, he takes him downtown with a towering tater to center.
July 4, 2026 at 7:34 am #311832Mathews' gem (with no BBs), Leo's walkoff HR, Doyle, Nunez and two Springfield HRs give Kade Anderson his first AA defeat and much more in TCN's daily #stlcards Minor League Notebook, always FREE. Happy 4th! https://t.co/AJBu3yRCPI pic.twitter.com/EdLsFgXxcX

July 4, 2026 at 7:38 am #311833Small consolation, Pugs, but Rainiel’s fourth K was against a reliever. He only struck out three times in three shots at Anderson!
July 4, 2026 at 8:36 am #311840Mathews would be my player of the day solely for the improvement on command. He had a 71.9% strike rate which is a major improvement for him. Also a major improvement was a 66.7% first pitch strike rate. He was 50% the first 4 innings and the last 2 worked ahead in the count to every batter.
July 4, 2026 at 8:50 am #311841teeny weeny red flag in Raniel’s direction
He is a catching prospect in the Cardinals org, so I advise keeping your pants on. Speaking of catching prospects, is Sammy perking back up?
