CFICT- It almost seems like a dream when Hence was so highly ranked. Very little talk anymore. And people seem to have conceded he will be a reliever. Not me. His arm hasn’t fallen off yet. He has electric stuff. Keep stretching him out under the new development team.
Getting anything positive from Thompson and or Tink would be great. No reason to rush them in 2026, though, unless they just explode in aaa this year.
I’m sure the smoldering passion for baseball will turn back into that raging fire
Sure hope it happens soon Mud. I like winning as much as the next guy, but that passion for the game is what I miss most.
My attitude about Atenado is the same as my attitude about Mo was. There’s no good reason for him to be here anymore. Whatever it takes be gone!
I don’t really like either of these deals. Cfanin Chi has the idea. Package Donnie with Jojo and a c prospect for a high ceiling prospect. These guys they’re talking about are all flawed from the jump. It should be better than what we got for Gray, and it doesn’t feel that way.
I would imagine that McLean is probably not gettable but
Give em Noot Donovan and Contreras it still wouldn’t be enough.
K/BB ratio is something I look a lot more at in my old age!
Me too. Especially important when you always have guys on the field that play poor defense. The ball finds those guys.
There’s rumors around about trading JoJo. Of course there’s rumors about a lot of guys. At least the Gray move makes some of it believable.
Lots of different opinions. I will say Marmol is the clear beneficiary of whatever grand plan Bloom has. I thought it was simply inconvenient to bring in another new manager and staff at this time. Now they talk extension.
, everything. The pros and cons for keeping or firing Marmol have been debated extensively. Many relevant points have been made already by many members. No reason to ignore all that, hence the reference to the other, long-running thread
It’s completely different. It’s not Keeping Marmol thru the duration of his contract. It’s news. They’re talking of extending him. MLB trade rumors broke the story. And frankly I don’t see a lot of other threads clogging up the board. I’ve probably started no more than half a dozen threads total since I’ve been posting here. And you stalk and snark each one.
For reference, here is the link to the prior Marmol thread, which has 230 entries.
What does that have to do with an extension?
They got Bostons #5 prospect with years of control for a guy with negative trade value. Plus we should get some innings out of Fitts. And plenty of off color jokes. It’s a good trade.

Did I ever tell you guys Barger looks like Johnnie Ringo?
I’m in Sandiego for my grandsons Marine Bootcamp graduation. It’s a big deal.think it was more than just poker games. I h
As I said I’m sure we haven’t heard the end. That means there’s a lot more than just poker games.
It turns out that the NBA may be scripted as well
What I’ve read is it was high stakes poker games being rigged. The players were luring heeled clients to underground games. All hosted by connected mob types. I’m sure we haven’t heard the end.
