One thing’s entirely certain…The final outcome of the ’25 WS won’t be decided in the USA.
October 29, 2025 at 11:17 am #295091That game three was legendary. Not the best performance for Cardinal alum Tommy Edman in that one, but the Dodgers ended up with a “W” after almost 7 hours of baseball.
Glad the Jays got back on track in game four. I am rooting for them, but am okay with either team. Just want it to keep going, hopefully to 7. One club will have champagne and beer chilling in the clubhouse during game six.
October 29, 2025 at 11:23 am #295092After that marathon game, my wife, who does not follow baseball much, asked me about it. She said, “Isn’t playing that long dangerous, especially for pitchers and catchers?”
I told her how during the regular season they do the runner-on-second deal to make it a little easier to score, with the goal being to keep the games from going on and on. But in post season they don’t do that.
So we have one person in favor of the ghost runner rule. 😀 She thinks the players risk of injury in playing essentially two games worth of innings in one night is not worth it.
October 29, 2025 at 11:44 am #295095Even with all of the wonderful Mrs. BicycleMike attributes, if push were to become shove, her pro Ghost Runner Rule vote may be just grounds for a divorce, Mike. And I think any judge in America would look at it the same way and rule in your favor.
The Jays have this thing…..it’s a wrap……the Toronto Blue Jays are your 2025 World Champions. Congrats to the entire Blue Jays organization on a job well done!
October 29, 2025 at 12:26 pm #295096On the other hand, Madame Bikemike, baseball players sit for half the game.
October 29, 2025 at 3:28 pm #295098One this is for certain……This will be the last game at Doyer Stadium for about five months or so.
October 29, 2025 at 6:14 pm #295105A heads up that there will be a 15 minute site outage tonight sometime between 10 pm CT and 4 am for a server upgrade.
I hope it doesn’t happen during the game but I have no say.
October 29, 2025 at 7:15 pm #295108Blake Shelled…..excuse me…..Blake Snell getting shelled in the early going, as the first two Jays(Schneider & Vladi)take him deep.
October 29, 2025 at 7:45 pm #295110Am I behind the times-Tommy hitty right handed all the time?
October 29, 2025 at 8:14 pm #295112Did I ever tell you guys Barger looks like Johnnie Ringo?
I’m in Sandiego for my grandsons Marine Bootcamp graduation. It’s a big deal.October 29, 2025 at 8:19 pm #295113Two taters and a triple have the Blue Jays in business in game 5.
October 29, 2025 at 8:27 pm #295115Tommy hitty right handed all the time?
He does that when he is in a funk.
He was batting left-handed last night.

stlcard25ParticipantThis Yesavage kid reminds me of Wacha’s incredible run in 2013. I recall that some had him mocked to the Cards last year. Hopefully Wetherholt makes us all forget that we could have had him.
October 29, 2025 at 9:30 pm #295117The Cardinals were never going to draft him – he’s right handed!
October 29, 2025 at 9:45 pm #295118Blue Jays are now in total command of this game with an 8th inning 6-1 lead and look to take a 3-2 games lead back home to the Great White North. Dodgers are in serious trouble.

stlcard25ParticipantThe Cardinals were never going to draft him – he’s right handed!
It’s strange that they got to this point, given that they were known for picking college righties in the 1st round of the draft for so long.
October 30, 2025 at 10:59 am #295129It is not true.
October 30, 2025 at 10:19 pm #295159I didn’t realize where Toronto was in relation to the United States. I, more or less, thought it was located somewhere up by the North Pole. I looked it up on a map and was surprised to see that Toronto is located at about the same latitude as Milwaukee and Boston. The entire country of Canada has a population, roughly, about the same as the state of California.
October 30, 2025 at 11:00 pm #295161Yeah Mud, Toronto’s located further South than several large cities in the U.S.A.
October 31, 2025 at 8:05 am #295164I’ve been to Montreal but not to Toronto. Vancouver is the big city on the west coast.
Pretty sure they have zero Canadian players though, lol
October 31, 2025 at 1:08 pm #295180Pugs?
If you are still out there I wanted to let you and all our esteemed posters know that even though there is no Cardinal baseball today I am still going out to the Amish restaurant on the lake and have some Catfish Fiddlers. And since it’s almost 60 degrees here today I am going to have a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar out on the patio afterwards.

October 31, 2025 at 5:51 pm #295185Hear you loud and clear, Rat. What a sweet din-din you have on tap for this fine Friday evening. I was going over to Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse tonight, but after reading your post, I think I’ll switch gears and head on over to Madison for some tasty Fiddlers myself.
Well, we are on the final leg of our post season picks. Brian with an amazing 9-1 mark, cannot be caught and thus has already been crowned champion of our 1st annual Post Season Predictions thread. After the Jays polish these guys off, I’ll post the final results.
October 31, 2025 at 8:31 pm #295191This 5th inning 3-1 Dodger’s lead feels like the most precarious 3-1 5th inning lead in baseball history…
October 31, 2025 at 10:15 pm #295194And the Doyers squeak out this game. Game ending DP 7-4 that doubled off the runner at 2nd to end it.
We will see you tomorrow night!
October 31, 2025 at 10:18 pm #295195Boy, oh boy…Barger gets caught thinking about who knows what and we’re “Feeling 7-up”…
