The transaction page also shows tre Fletcher was released yesterday.
TheBeaveParticipantTheBeaveParticipantI read a tweet yesterday from Chase Cunningham (@FranchFrys25) on March 27,2023 promoting the free agent Gianluca Dalatri. When did this happen and why wasn’t it announced? I tried to embed the tweet, but I can’t figure it out.
TheBeaveParticipantAnyone following the minor league spring training games today? They open against the Miami affiliates.
TheBeaveParticipant3 – Graceffo
TheBeaveParticipantI missed the #1 vote, but it would have been Walker.
I’m going with Gordon Graceffo at #2.
TheBeaveParticipantI believe the top 12 is in a group by themselves, very good players. From 13 down, there is a lot of parity and one can argue for someone to move up or down depending their personal subjectivity. My only critical remark on the prospect list is Jacob Buchberger. He hit .308 in Palm Beach last season and currently .322 in Peoria, yet not even a mention. What am I missing with him? Other than that, great list!
TheBeaveParticipantAre there any rosters for the minor league teams? I’m just wondering where they will be playing during Spring Training. Games start today.

#45 ~ Pedro PagesTheBeaveParticipant#36 ~ Jacob Buchberger – At Palm Beach, he hit .308 with an OPS of .810 and a wRC+ of 126 before the call up to Peoria. It looked to me that he was pressing a little bit to show he belonged and struggled. He is listed as a 3B, but I think he will stick at 2B. He played 16 games in the four weeks at Peoria committing no errors. Very athletic player with power potential.
#37 ~ Wilfredo Pereira – 3.33 ERA in 97.1 IP and 29 games at High A Peoria.
#38 ~ Connor Lunn – 3.96 ERA in 120.1 IP and 24 games at High A Peoria.

We can draft a John Doe that hits 112 EV off a tee, runs a 6.2 60 yard dash, and throw 98 across the field (or mound) and think he is the second coming. Until we put him in the box, on the field, or on the mound to see what they can and can’t do at any professional level, we are never exactly sure what we are going to get for their future. They need to show what they can do, how do they compete, and, if they are successful, at that time I can accurately place them as a high prospect player. Until then, I will vote the players that have shown success and progress through the system. I’m not saying the newbies should be completely off the board, but a top 20 ranking is hard for me to place them. I’m not saying y’all are wrong or anything for putting them up as a high prospects, that’s just my belief in my voting.
Anyway, I’m going with Donovan @ #10. Thank you!
TheBeaveParticipantI apologize for missing my vote yesterday, but I was on a baseball recruiting trip with my youngest boy all day. Congrats to Noot for the #8 spot. My spot at #9 will be Brendan Donovan.
TheBeaveParticipant#7 is Burleson
TheBeaveParticipantHerrera
TheBeaveParticipantI’m also sticking with Ivan the Great for #5.
TheBeaveParticipantI agree with stlcard25. Masyn is very exciting to watch and will be a fine player in the future as he gets experience and maturity. Right now though, #4 for me is Ivan Herrera.
TheBeaveParticipantMatthew Liberatore @ #3
