26. Matt Koperniak – Signed as a nondrafted free agent after the 2020 draft. If he can develop more power, he will rise as quickly in the rankings as he did through the Cardinals’ system.
27. Ian Bedell – He might have had a bad elbow when he was drafted because he had to have TJ surgery after pitching two games for the Cardinals. No matter. He’s going to win some game at the major league level.
28. Patrick Rom3eri – Started showing his potential in 2021.
This is another one that could move up the rankings fast.
29. Jeremy Rivas – Young shortstop. Big signing bonus.
30. Andre Granillo – Stats for 2021 – IP 18, SO 23, WHIP 1.06, ERA 1.50, plus 9 BB’s in those 18 innings pitched. Wild. But there’s something to dream on with this kid.December 2, 2021 at 10:34 pm #17783026. Matt Koperniak – Signed as a nondrafted free agent after the 2020 draft. #30 – Jhon TorresDecember 3, 2021 at 8:54 am #17784526- Jhon Torres: I am shocked he has dropped this far.
27- Tre Fletcher: Ditto above.
28- Conner Capel: Solid number 4 OF type. I think he will be a big leaguer somewhere.
29- Brady Whalen: Continuing steady progress. He has a shot at the bigs.
30- Julio Rodriguez: A lot of competition in the catcher ranks but he is holding his own.December 3, 2021 at 8:59 am #177846You can’t vote twice mud….this isn’t Chicago..lol just kidding…
December 3, 2021 at 9:12 am #177849Don’t worry, I am only going to count mud’s votes as one. We have strict anti-fraud rules here at TCN. Lol
December 3, 2021 at 11:33 am #177860This is Mud we’re speaking of here, gentlemen. If Mud wants to vote twice, I think it appropriate that we allow him to do so. This only goes for Mud though.

30 KoperniakDecember 5, 2021 at 4:53 pm #177946My picks:
26. Edwin Nunez. 100 mph but can’t hit the broad side of a barn yet.
27. Matt Koperniak. A lefty with a strong record of hitting and OBP, with developing power.
28. Patrick Romeri. He is showing his ability this past year, and I think he will start at Peoria next year. He’s taking the slow and steady track.
29. Jeremy Rivas. The young SS didn’t show much power, but he will develop it as he goes. I think he has a chance to move up next year.
30. Ian Bedell. He might need to show that he’s not the next Gingery and get healthy, but the talent is there.

35 CapelDecember 6, 2021 at 8:12 am #177959My picks:
31. Jeremy Rivas. He may the next best SS hope in the system after Masyn Winn.
32. Conner Capel. Like gscottar said, he’s probably a 4th OFer long term but his defense is better than I realized, thanks to some recent TCN member reporting. He may end up similar to Lars Nootbaar.
33. Jack Ralston. I admit that he’s a little old for his league but he did strike out 101 in 67 IP. The walk rate was a little high so it’s not a given that he starts long term. Still, he should be in Springfield next year.
34. Dionys Rodriguez. I’ll admit that peer pressure caused me to jump on this one. Excellent K rate, manageable walk rate. He should start in Peoria and have a shot to move up.
35. Logan Gragg. He had a tough start to his season, but improved every month from June on. His August and September were especially solid. He should start in Springfield, like Ralston.
