Adam Wainwright (11-5, 5.08) vs. Jon Lester (6-6, 4.07) 3:05 p.m. FOX Sport Midwest, FOX Sports 1
July 22, 2017 at 10:17 am #28308Sure would be nice to ride the momentum of the 9 run 8th inning and the 11-4 win into another win today. Wont be easy against Quintana, looks like he can be filthy at times. Looking forward to the lineup today.

July 22, 2017 at 11:00 am #28312With a lefty on the mound, I’d imagine we will go right heavy. Prob have Marp at 2nd and Voit at first.
Hopefully Waino will pitch well today because I think we can get a few runs off Quintana.
July 22, 2017 at 11:13 am #28314Looks like Lester is the one on the mound today…the lefty matchup still stands though. Quintana goes tomorrow.
July 22, 2017 at 12:16 pm #28317I was watching the Yankees and Mariners game last night when Judge hit the bomb into leftfield, almost out of the stadium. Right at the back row or two in LF. The Yankee announcers said something about Statcast wasn’t there to measure that one, but it had to go 500+ feet.

July 22, 2017 at 1:04 pm #28328I made the updates. I did not hear why they changed.
July 22, 2017 at 3:55 pm #28333Scoreless through three.
July 22, 2017 at 4:07 pm #28334Scoreless through 4 and we haven’t got a hit yet…
July 22, 2017 at 4:09 pm #28335Nor a base runner…hope we didn’t use it all up in the game yesterday!
July 22, 2017 at 4:26 pm #28336Waino finally breaks up the perfect game but still 0-0 after 5.
July 22, 2017 at 4:26 pm #28337We finally get a hit and it’s Wainwright…
July 22, 2017 at 5:04 pm #28338DeJong and Grichuk hit back-to-back HRs in the 8th. Cards have a 2-0 lead, Cubs coming to bat in the 8th.
July 22, 2017 at 5:04 pm #28339Back to back jacks!! Cards take a 2-0 lead.
July 22, 2017 at 5:17 pm #28340Dare I say it…up to the pen now. Wainwright gives up a run in the 8th. Bowman in with a runner on 2nd and two outs. Cards lead 2-1.
July 22, 2017 at 5:18 pm #28341Okay, that didn’t take long. On his 3rd pitch, Bowman gives up the tying single.
July 22, 2017 at 5:21 pm #28342Damn we need relief pitchers
July 22, 2017 at 5:25 pm #28343Just f-ing pathetic. I have seen better outfield arms in high school.
July 22, 2017 at 5:27 pm #28344And just like that, pen goes from from another save opportunity to probable loss — another late-inning Cardinal meltdown in progress.
July 22, 2017 at 5:27 pm #28345No what was more pathetic was that piss poor hanging curve ball on a 3-2 pitch. That was trash from that overpaid blankety blank.
July 22, 2017 at 5:28 pm #28346That’s an $80 million lollipop. Bad decisions have consequences.
July 22, 2017 at 5:40 pm #28347Cards have 2 on, 2 outs in the 9th with Yadi up. Davis has walked two. As big a heartbreaker as this has been, we still have a chance.
July 22, 2017 at 5:43 pm #28348Well, that sucked.
-Repeat every other day as the Cards waste yet another golden opportunity for a win.
July 22, 2017 at 5:44 pm #28349Yadi strikes out swinging on one low and away to put a lid on it. Cards lose 3-2.
July 22, 2017 at 5:45 pm #2835020th bullpen loss unfreaking believeable.
