KeepComingBackParticipantSiani game ball
KeepComingBackParticipantI was making $4.37 an hour with a wife and a baby in 1982. Free and cheap stuff was our fare. Time of my life.
KeepComingBackParticipantI used to do that Dom.
KeepComingBackParticipantBrummer? Ozuna I dislike #1 in league.
KeepComingBackParticipantLance is nutbag. I like em. Is our offense back? I hope so. This is fun.
KeepComingBackParticipantI agree 100% JJ. And I agree with you Bling. Burleson has to hit well above average to play every day. Not only that, he had to improve his power numbers. He’s done that. As long as that continues, he’s going to play every day somewhere. We have some good problems. We don’t have near enough at bats if everybody gets back and produces. Don’t forget about Carlson, either. Everybody’s whipping boy is coming to life. Trade deadline should be interesting.
KeepComingBackParticipantO’Noot is injured again and Walker is in AAA. I’m pretty happy Burleson has stepped up. But you go ahead and continue with whatever your problem with him is. I put the odds at being a lot better for Burleson to keep hitting than O’Noot staying healthy.
KeepComingBackParticipantIt’s a long season Dom. They had us selling a month into the season, for good reason. Traded deadline is 5 weeks away. A couple (more) injuries and we are back to the basement. As you say, that’s why we play the games. We get Contreras and O’Noot back, they hit the ground running, and we could be leading the division by July 31.
KeepComingBackParticipantNews flash Bling. He’s a full time player. A full time player at the top of the lineup. A full time player at the top of the team’s production stats. When he stops hitting, unlike Goldy and Arenado, he will stop playing because he has no other value. But I wouldn’t bet against him, because unlike Goldy and Arenado, he isn’t a guess hitter in his middle thirties.
KeepComingBackParticipantIf you really want to chase wildcards Dom, sweep the Braves!
KeepComingBackParticipantYou have to have patience with these young players Shady. Burleson is just now emerging. They would have thrown him in a deal last year if that’s what it took to get it done. Everyone is down on Gorman. Do some research on what 16 hr’s and 48 rbi projected over a season costs a team these days. I just don’t see them trading these players.
KeepComingBackParticipantI wouldn’t trade Burleson, Shady. He’s a low cost run producer on an upward trajectory. He isn’t going anywhere.
KeepComingBackParticipantShady btv is behind a paywall now. I’m not going to give them $. But I think you should.😀 Than report back to us. I would think Winn Noot Herrera Gorman Hence would be your top 5. Just guessing. Gorman needs to pick it up or fall. Not sure where Walker is now. Burly would be higher with better defensive value. I think he has some intangibles. His team mates seem to like him and he’s a ” loose” player. That counts for something.
KeepComingBackParticipantWhy would you love Joc Pederson type? We have one. Gorman. Only he’s 6 years younger 9 million$ cheaper and will hit more homeruns. Be patient with Gorman. And they aren’t trading Walker either.
KeepComingBackParticipantHaving Carlson hitting is huge. Our offense looks so much better. Our defense looks so much better when you can carry Pages. Keep running both of them out there.
KeepComingBackParticipantThese guys are playing like they expect to win. I’m impressed those two turds in Miami didn’t kill them.
KeepComingBackParticipantWinn Burleson. I would be surprised if they move off of that unless one of them completely craters. Do what you want with the rest. If I was making the lineup with healthy players counting Contreras I like
Winn
Donovan
Burleson
Contreras
Goldy
Gorman
Arenado
Pages

KeepComingBackParticipantEnjoyed the heck out of the game today. Stepped back off the ledge after waiting 2 days to watch hardball and falling behind 3-0 in the first. Thanks Goldy for making my depression a short affair with the 2 run bomb in the bottom half.
KeepComingBackParticipantO’Noot has been on the IL 5 times in the last 2 seasons. Does that worry anyone?
KeepComingBackParticipantI agree with Jnevel that after the first inning the lineup configurations don’t mean as much except stacking too many lefties. Here’s what I do know. If you are slumping, and come up in an important situation and fail, you will be called a bad name.
KeepComingBackParticipantGuys like Goldy and Arenado and Contreras earned their way into the middle of the order. You don’t shuffle them around based on small sample sizes of production. But what’s a small sample size? And age declining performance should be considered. And when does their pass end? I’m glad the team has more patience than we as fans do. It’s a long season. Should a month of lower production get a player moved out of a position in the order that they have been effective at? I think Goldy and Arenado need to be moved down. But I will leave that to management before I start jumping up and down. They’ve had nearly half of a season and they aren’t young superstars. Gorman can’t be moved up. I see a good lineup as
Winn
Donovan
Burleson
Contreras
Arenado
Goldy
Gorman
Tommy
Noot
KeepComingBackParticipantI bet the state of Atlanta Winn leads off forever.

KeepComingBackParticipantI agree Dom. I was unimpressed with Imanagas stuff. Even though we couldn’t hit it.
KeepComingBackParticipantGorman needs to be down there with the fading stars. Noot needs to hit ninth until he gets his groove on. That’s not an insult anymore, either.Brave new world.
KeepComingBackParticipantWinn bats first. Do what you want with Donny, Burleson and Contreras at 2,3, and 4. Contreras makes the most $ so ask him where he wants to hit. Just move Goldy and Arenado down where fading stars need to be. 6,7,8.
