This has been a nice run fueled by the young guys. Bottom line-if Contreras, Goldy, and arenado don’t start hitting we will fade out of contention.

And he’ll be happy with his next pay envelope. He’s 24 years old, so he may want to extend beyond what’s termed as getting his feet wet. In any case, I was always under the impression that if a player displayed a nice performance, he stayed around for more than a minute or two. As long as he’s up here with the big kids, I’d like to see him be given a chance to prove that he belongs.

It is unusual to debut a guy at home but we will see how it goes. What happened to Burly? Picked off?

Yeah he thought he had a jump on Montas and took off before the pitch was thrown.

Rat I think you should get yourself one of those Amish hats. You want to look sharp.

A timely 2 out hit would work well.

I’m getting used to it now, but the first few times that I glanced at the TV screen and saw that fleur-de-lis symbol on the Cardinal side of the score box graphic displayed at the bottom of the screen, I kept getting the impression that the bases were jammed…I like the StL symbol better.

    I’m not a fan of the fleur-de-lis either 1TD.

    Andre is getting workable contact.

Siani has came within half a foot of a HR a few times now. I imagine they guys jokingly yell weight room at him

Siani actually has a .514 slugging % the last 15 games. I obviously don’t expect that to continue, but he should be able to get a fair share of doubles and even triples with his speed.

Wow what heads up base running by Siani to get a run

Does Siani have the potential to hit similar to Edman? Say 90-92 OPS+, maybe a little better sometimes?

He sure looks good lately Bling. I’m not sure. He’s never really hit that well at any level in his career. But he seems to be getting much better.

Yeah Albert, he’s swinging the bat a whole lot better than he was earlier in the season and I’ve gotten to where I feel like he has a decent chance during his PA’s. That once wasn’t the case.

Siani so far is about equal to Edman vs RHP, same ballpark, but vs LH, Edman in a runaway.

Siani was just so helpless at times. It’s going to take awhile for me to be ready to say he’s turned a corner.

I’m not watching, but my impression is he has value beyond the numbers, if that makes any sense.

Maybe in a good year, but I imagine he is a 80 wRC+ type on average unless he can hit it into the gaps more.

Siani (.239) is now out hitting Gorman (.189) by 50 pts.

That was another rocket off Siani’s bat.

    Pallante is a good infielder.

Contreras is not helping Pallante tonight. That’s 2 missed strikes to the current batter with Contreras stabbing.
