Curtis Taylor and his staff leading 10 wins, and his WHiP better than McGreevy put up, worm his way into the mix for next year’s ML roster? Will we see him in ML camp? If Mo was in charge, I would say nope. Not with a 7.7 K/9. But Mo will not be in charge, Bloom will be looking for cheap pitchers and the bar will not be too high. The least that can be said is he couldn’t have picked a better time and place to have a good year.
I guess Taylor is a Bloom guy. Won’t take much to worm his way on to this staff. Does he have grandchidren?
Those were the days Dom. I had a young family and couldn’t afford curtains. But gas was cheap and I would drive down and get in eventually for a couple bucks. If they had a rain delay they opened the gates. If I thought the game was going to start again (back than they didn’t wait so long to call it) I would head down and get in free. I made 1 game of each series most of the time on a homestand. The Mrs KCB of those days liked baseball and would go on the weekends if we could find a free sitter.

That’s a fact. The saddest thing for me is not seeing a stadium full of happy fans. We will have to wait a couple more months before we find out how they intend to rectify that. I shifted my interest to the minor league systems long ago. I think it’s obvious spending isn’t in their immediate plans. This is going to take time.
Does Bloom have someone in mind he would rather work with? That’s the question that needs to be answered. I understand we don’t necessarily need a strategic giant in 2026. But the fact Marmol is under contract next year shouldn’t be the deciding factor.
Any trades they make should bring back pitching prospects. Any fa signing should be 1 year starting pitching so they don’t overuse what they have. Especially if they trade Gray. The pitching pipeline has to be developed and feeding players to the major league club before they spend on the roster to compete. 27 has a good possibility of being disrupted by the cba. It shouldn’t really effect that system. 28 could be a year we start spending again. But it has to be on plugging holes in the roster, not buying starting pitching. This of course is just my opinion based on information available. All of which is unsubstantiated. We will find out shortly. It should be an interesting off-season. Hopefully more interesting than waiting all winter for the Arenado-Mo stalemate.
Post season spoiler isn’t the role I had hoped for. But it’s pretty clear we need to settle in because our roster just isn’t close to being any thing else in 26. 27 is in doubt because of the cba. 28?
There’s only a few players I just don’t like personally. None of them are currently on the Cardinals. But I just don’t want to watch Mikolas Walker Gorman Arenado play baseball anymore. There’s a few others who are close. Im sorry, as always, the seasons about over. But I won’t miss those guys.

Yep Mike. I’m 68. But I get up stretch exercise make lunch andbreakfast read The Word for half hour. I’m only 5 minutes from work. Start at 6. I have a young boss I like and help keep out of trouble. He’s very good with people but needs my technical experience.
