ok.. Didn’t see anything personal. But you are doubling down on poor hitting which is your prerogative. You like Burleson. Got it. Pretty sure we can revisit in a few months. Keep defending him, and people will refute it until he breaks out and acts like a MLB DH for an extended period.
Fine. Everyone can ignore the friend of a poster here (his name escapes me) who is a prominent Red Sox scout who advised that Burly was a top flight MLB hitter.
Performance data aside, you “malcontents” just refuse to acknowledge real talent.

WOW …Burly riding the pine AGAIN today. Despite being touted by Jim Edmonds and Ricky Horton and the “respect” of Oli Marmol, it seems that the undeniable numbers have caught up with him.

The offense collectively is poor. Sure outs from Scott and Walker now. Rushed development has its price. Big guys are mostly absent.
Gibson’s start was “meh” but gave the team a chance to compete. The team is riding the tide up and down .500 while the rest of the division is slipping away now.
All not lost but not smelling October now.
It appears Burly rides the pine now that Nootbar is healthy. Guessing between Donovan and Herrera/Contreras positioned at DH that Burleson will see sparse play.

The Cards “confidence” in Burly mostly has to do with being literally 5 outfielders short of where the were last year. They have nowhere else to go. His recent opportunities result from desperation rather than from achievement or potential.
