No one whining about Wynn hitting cleanup again.

Finally rays get a hit. 2-0 going into the bottom of the 7th.

It’s a rebuilding year. Most of the fan base can’t sit through one.

The OP likely fimd most of those answers himself.

I wanted Velasquez up as well but this is likely all about Noot and his possible placement on the 60 day IL. People are acting like we are competing when they forget this is a rebuild. Like there is a rush for Velasquez to be called up and if he really wanted to show them up he’d not gone 0-4 with 2 K last night in Springfield. Anything to piss and moan about when it comes to the owners and now Bloom. Lol

Also seems we have a portion of the fan base who want Tommy Saggese banished for his participation in the WBC. Still aren’t over 2023 WBC are we?

The game against Springfield is a free game of the day. Pretty packed stadium.

Pitching is set. What about positions? Can we expect a typical 2am announcement to keep the fans from knowing until the mid am? Lol

Something is happening. Someone is getting left off and it won’t be popular IMO.

I find it interesting that JJ was in the breakout game. IDK if we have anymore examples of players who have been predicted to be on thr ML 26 man playing in this game. Will be interested to see how this plays out.

JJ’s numbers for the month of March have not been good. Winn has had bad b2b springs at the plate but seems to figure it out a bit regular season.

Pallante earned his spot so far but that is on a start to start basis due to trust issues.

Fitts I don’t think was starter ready judging by his IP or numbers. Maybe Memphis is the way to go for starters.

Idk about JJ but if he bombs they can send him down. Only issue is who is the lamb who gets sacrificed? It’s going to be a depth piece if he’s kept.

Good last game. Venezuela earned that win and was on a good heater to end. Just not enough hitting by the US and not enough available pitching to an extent.

Any comments on the Naughton demotion? I know he wasn’t on thr 40 but had been pretty good this spring. Just looking for some opinion.

Walker illustrates the reason not to fall in love too soon. He blasted some Texas League mistakes into the parking lot a few years ago. He is still riding that and the Cardinals are still grasping that.

We call it the first round draft pick syndrome. The Pete Kozma effect. Got to see if the pedigree will actually work out.

I think the WBC means more to the Dominican countries and the Asian countries than it does to most American’s though.

Well really its about the players participation than the fans. I’m sure the almost 39K in attendance for USA games would disagree.I did see Korea-Chinese Taipei play before a mostly packed Tokyo Dome. I can’t speak for the Italians. I doubt many were up late in Milan for upsetting the US.

MLB will never agree to this for the Olympics. This is what we get and I think it’s great.

We all knew this was coming.

The BFIB needed a scapegoat through this. Even if they already knew we were in rebuild mode.

They may not have an answer yet. It was pointed out in the intro to CardinalsTV on the Cardinals website.

Got Pallante going tomorrow. Hope he’s worked on his extra special pitch like he did in 24. I haven’t heard much out there about him. That has me concerned.

Watched a couple innings today. Wind was whipping all over. Noticed the ABS and that we don’t have a sponsor on our ST uni’s. You’d figure they’d want to pedal some companies product and make up for all the lost TV revenue.

I know it’s game one of ST but Ryan Fernandez has been terrible since early 2nd half of 2024. People talk about Roycroft but I don’t think enough attention has been paid to how terrible Fernandez has been for a very long time.

And I agree that Marmol must not like stealing bases.

Who are the burners you like stealing bases? Lower leg injured Wynn or the guy who doesn’t get on base Victor Scott. Nado, goldy, Herrera, Gorman, Donovan didn’t seem like burners. Contreras not a run first guy.

Oli knows his team. He knows the value of putting people on base and not putting the value on a SB. You don’t have that team that will just steal 80-90 bags between 2 players. Bad take!

Sonner, what led you to conclude that the AGMs did not select their own reports, rather than assuming Bloom did it?

It is very early, but I haven’t seen Yadi around yet. I think that if a Marmol extension is coming, it will be during the spring. And it would give it better than 50% odds of happening.

If we going all safari then the other elephant in the room is that from all indications that Bloom and the ownership like Oli. Sure the OP could be right. Broken clock, twice a day.

I agree that an Oli extension is coming at some point and that they want him to oversee the youth in this rebuild.
