I mean Gorman has done this time after time. There is a reason Urias is on this roster. I mean he’ll get a run but man can this clown ops .750? Its not hard but he makes it hard to watch. Hes the one guy they cleared out PT for. It’s pretty much shut up time for Nolan!

April 12, 2026 at 7:13 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #15 thread – Sunday, April 12 vs. Boston Red Sox #304671Wetherholt quietly approaching the Mendoza line. Herrera also not hitting much. I wonder how long boy blunder stays with that top of the order.
I mean who else would he put there today? JJs OBP was .359 headed into the game. Issue is he’s only had only 2 Xbh. Herrera only has 3 Xbh but had a .369 obp. Burly, Walker and to extent Gorman have been getting on. Just really not a consistent offense with too many guys not getting on the same page so far.
But hey its early. We’ll find out eventually what we have.
Rodriguez might have been robbed by the umps of a Homer today. Peoria has a wierd gap between the outfield fence and fencing that keeps people away. I was at home plate watching it. Several people agreed it was a Jimmy jack. Lost 5-4
Wind was blowing around today. Peete had an oppo homer that I don’t think would’ve made it out otherwise. Nice lineup construction by having Peete, Rainiel and Baez in the top 4. Cubs have good player Kapley so it seems.
April 12, 2026 at 2:59 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #15 thread – Sunday, April 12 vs. Boston Red Sox #304654Was that fouled or did Herrera just miss that completely? In Peoria watching the Chiefs currently.
Deathball not working today? I saw Felix Fermin botched on in the outfield to plate 3 for Boston.
April 11, 2026 at 10:10 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #14 thread – Saturday, April 11 vs. Boston Red Sox #304611I mean it was Svanson’s mess. We used say if it was your mess then clean it up.
Oli might have pulled his old act of throwing a guy knowing likely he won’t be with the club much longer.
I’m concerned about Leahy. Only 4 innings tonight. It could be him getting acclimated to going longer in games but if he can’t get past 4 or 5 then we have 2 guys at AAA ready to roll or it appears.
April 11, 2026 at 9:34 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #14 thread – Saturday, April 11 vs. Boston Red Sox #304609I don’t think it would’ve mattered with the way our offense was MIA. Our best chance at multiple runs was in the first inning. Oh and another 6 hit or under performance. That’s like 7 on the year. We’ll have some growing pains with this offense this year.
But man Svanson needs a bus ride to Memphis. Who gets called up? Gulp! Fernandez again or something new blood on the 40?

I went to the Frozen Confines, aka, Wrigley yesterday. It was not 50 degrees out or close to it btw.It was at a Marlins-Cubs split DH at Wrigley a couple seasons ago. Game 1 was 46 and game 2 was 42 degrees with a decent wind. I was thinking the same way but it that’s what it says in the box score.
April 11, 2026 at 12:10 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #13 thread – Friday, April 10 vs. Boston Red Sox #304473I agree, Willie. A player with a banjo for a bat and jets for wheels has to be proficient at laying down the bunt”
I think he and Winn are very average to below average at that skill. (no hard # in front of me) Especially in getting runners over.
It is early but I believe Scott has 5 bunt hits this season. He had 10 all of last year.
Its a skill that likely has been overlooked due to coaching in the minors due to each one’s prospect status but Scott speed and lack of thump makes this more of a necessity. Let’s see how this shakes moving forward.
April 10, 2026 at 11:58 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #13 thread – Friday, April 10 vs. Boston Red Sox #304472The Cardinals are now 8-5 and although only a handful more than 27K showed up for a Fri. night game vs. the Red Sox,
Cubs drew a shade under 29K for a 1pm start. 50 degrees at game time. Maybe Dewitt needs to pedal the fish sando (never tried) and Chicky Sandy’s instead. We know they not dare not pimp Lions Choice.
April 10, 2026 at 11:31 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #13 thread – Friday, April 10 vs. Boston Red Sox #304471Not sure, but he was the victim of a HBP earlier in the game, booyah.
Lowe leg HBP. Went out for the 4th and removed in the bottom.
Him and Scott got some chicken legs. Lol
April 10, 2026 at 9:30 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #13 thread – Friday, April 10 vs. Boston Red Sox #304450Why was Wynn pulled?
April 10, 2026 at 1:05 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #13 thread – Friday, April 10 vs. Boston Red Sox #304414If May’s next two starts resemble his first two I predict a trip to the IL and then 2-3 rehab starts to see if they can reset him.
This might be more realistic.
April 9, 2026 at 11:45 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #13 thread – Friday, April 10 vs. Boston Red Sox #304389I think that was about Matz’ salary, wasn’t it?
Matz was walking wounded for 3 year and about the best they were going to get was to turn him into a swingman-multiple inning guy to get someone to take him.
May needs a solid start for sure but I don’t think they will jump the gun yet and bring on Fitts. They do have some time here but yeah if he keeps it up he might see the bullpen by the time May hits. I mean after all this is a rebuild. No one is expecting to contend. We do need to help in pen though so far.
Doyle got rocked in AA. He should’ve started in Peoria with Rodriguez. Earn his way to AAA not given it.
April 8, 2026 at 4:16 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #12 thread – Wednesday, April 8 at Washington Nationals #304294We chased Mikolas. Good job boys!
Why was he pulled early?
April 8, 2026 at 1:41 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #12 thread – Wednesday, April 8 at Washington Nationals #304278Could we be haunted today?
We’ll see. He is at home. So Im not expecting a shutout or a 10 run outburst. A nice 5-4 thriller due to the pen.
April 6, 2026 at 11:20 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #10 thread – Monday, April 6 at Washington Nationals #304150Maybe May and Svanson can share a ride to Memphis?
Svanson sure. A little harder to do to May due to his service time and price. DL maybe? Hes sure pitched like he’s hurt the first 2 games.
Bruihl has been Bruihltal.
April 6, 2026 at 11:13 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #10 thread – Monday, April 6 at Washington Nationals #304149Pallante still walks hitters like crazy. That’s 7 walks in 2 games IIRC.
April 3, 2026 at 4:35 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #7 thread – Friday, April 3 at Detroit Tigers #303895This team loves to get 5 or 6 hits a night.
They are a young rebuilding team. We shall see nights like this on offense more often.
Is this really what it takes to get him out of the cleanup spot? Hahaha!
April 1, 2026 at 2:48 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #6 thread – Wednesday, April 1 vs. New York Mets #303761Not anymore.
Very unclutch bottom of the 5th. 2 runners on and no outs and you can’t plate a run.
March 31, 2026 at 1:33 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #4 thread – Monday, March 30 vs. New York Mets #303666But now the owners are not even trying to win. Not now, not next year, and not the year after that. (Unless they replace Marmol before the end of his contract, of course.) Ownership has betrayed a public trust with their fans, gutting not just player payroll, but player talent also. The team motto should be “Choose to lose!”
Lol! Oli isn’t going anywhere. Just stop! Just a terrible take and just another way for one of the yet again show how clueless the so called BFIB really are.
It’s a REBUILD! Get used to it.
March 28, 2026 at 4:03 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #2 thread – Saturday, March 28 vs. Tampa Bay Rays #303480Who the hell decided that Stanek is the closer? Look up his stats for the past 4 years.
He’s never been a closer and his era isn’t good.
I believe the phrase “closer by committee” was used by Oli. It’s early but the results from the bullpen have been very shaky so far.
March 28, 2026 at 4:01 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #2 thread – Saturday, March 28 vs. Tampa Bay Rays #303478That’s a game we wouldn’t have won last season
