The Rumors are rampant!
Astros interested in Nooooooot! They do have an interesting 3rd base prospect. Not much else. He does fit into the Astros payroll wheelhouse.
Burly sprinkles out there. Rather move Herrera unless he gives up catching. I know they like the hitting upside but he hasn’t hit much recently and has an injury history.
Obviously we are at where we are with the season. He will catch and DH the rest of the way but a discussion needs to be had.
If he’s reluctant to a position change then he should be moved. Hopefully we don’t have another Devers situation.

They don’t have to make a move until Saturday for the 40 man. They could keep Strzelecki in case they get pounded Friday or arr doing the pounding and drop him if needed. Could also be a random IL stint.

July 30, 2026 at 4:23 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #109 thread – Thursday, July 30 vs. Chicago Cubs #314605Let’s be honest here. We were lucky to get one game out of this.
I could buy Ivan but man his value is really limited due to his inability to throw runners out. He’s darkhorse IMO I’ve heard Crooks sprinkles and Pages. NO Bernal unless its package to Seattle.
Pretty Much May, Romero and Stanek are gone. The thing with Noot is the work stoppage. I think they maybe throw a package out with maybe the definate trade guys for some higher end high A, AA not quite 40 man talent.
I think the work stoppage really throws a wrench into things this deadline. Win now teams might be willing to give more. For us I think we want guys a year or two away but at least potential MLB contributors.
July 29, 2026 at 8:19 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #108 thread – Wednesday, July 29 vs. Chicago Cubs #314516They only have one lefty because Romero is injured and they jettisoned what’s his name a couple times. Naughton got hurt and I think they wanted him up at some point. It’s been my main complaint all season.
We’ll get one back soon enough. Liberatore will be banished after his next crummy start.
July 28, 2026 at 9:00 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #107 thread – Tuesday, July 28 vs. Chicago Cubs #314422Stezlecki to close it out or do we send out Svanson?
July 28, 2026 at 7:58 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #107 thread – Tuesday, July 28 vs. Chicago Cubs #314416McGreevy turning into the 4th starter we thought he was perhaps.
Sellers we are!
I Think he can return if a trade happens 27.
Just curious on why this guy was stashed in PB? Was it a roster crunch in AA-AAA?

July 26, 2026 at 2:56 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #105 thread – Sunday, July 26 vs. Cincinnati Reds #314148Leahy got through 6. Nice start in the almost unbearable heat.
Place is almost empty. 119 heat index will do that.

July 23, 2026 at 6:13 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #102 thread – Thursday, July 23 vs. Arizona D-Backs #313874I mean if you can’t take one series or even split a 4 gamer with the D’Backs then I think we have enough info in front of us to sell even if the returns on a couple guys wouldn’t be as good as they were a month ago.
July 22, 2026 at 5:50 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #101 thread – Wednesday, July 22 at Los Angeles Angels #313820We didn’t blow a game late. Seemed to be the norm recently.
July 21, 2026 at 11:48 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #100 thread – Tuesday, July 21 at Los Angeles Angels #313768He had the best season until the end of last season. So it seemed ok to hand him opening day. Which really doesn’t mean a ton.
When was the last time we were 2 games over .500? Been a minute hasn’t it? I think we got to 3 games at a couple points.
July 21, 2026 at 9:17 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #100 thread – Tuesday, July 21 at Los Angeles Angels #313736Steak mid rare. Burger medium.
Here’s an idea. When we trade JoJo we have his replacement ready to go. Matthew Liberatore has pitched his way out of this rotation. I hope Oli leaves him in to clean up his own BS tonight.
July 21, 2026 at 3:32 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #99 thread – Monday, July 20 at Los Angeles Angels #313704It was going to be a tough catch regardless. Anything at the wall is but he jump was very badly timed and shows while he has improved in RF that he’s got a long way to go.
July 20, 2026 at 11:44 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #99 thread – Monday, July 20 at Los Angeles Angels #313639Riley flat out sucked tonight. I don’t know what the hell Walker was jumping at. That was Ozunaesque.
July 19, 2026 at 9:07 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313565Bloom’s issue is a couple of his trade chips are losing some luster.
July 19, 2026 at 4:25 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313533Im sure CIF enjoys the early games. Its not midnight yet.
Can’t stay around and watch on this busy Sunday. Got stuff to do. Dinner might be this new Filipino flame grilled chicken spot down the way later.
July 19, 2026 at 2:12 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313516Idk maybe they want to give Walker a day off in thr field. He has been more active than some this past week.
