If we don’t light Miles up I’m going to be very disappointed.

I’d like to chase him with 1 out in the top of the third with 5 runs across and 2 on base waiting for whoever get the early call to the pen.

Looking for JJ to have a breakout game. 3-4 hits, couple of stolen bases.

And…can King Kong Walker hit his third of the series?

Everybody in the lineup should go yard Mikolas if he gets through the lineup twice.

Great comeback win last night. We are all hoping we are seeing a maturing Jordan Walker. Time will tell.

The Cardinals have been wearing the classic navy blue hats on the road against teams with red as their primary color. Wonder if that has changed, although Washington has a variety of uni styles and not always featuring red. Kind of like their former team now in the Dallas, TX area that will wear red uni’s one night and blue the next.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Mikolas pitched a 4-hit shutout against us today.

    Agreed…he’s a bum

BTW everyone: I have been going thru TV, internet, telephone and modem issues all at once since the 1st week of the season. I can only get my Cards MLB highlights on you tube.

    But It’s working today!

Those sorts of problems will make you say a lot of bad words…Glad to hear all that stuff’s back up to speed, LeGrand.

    Could we be haunted today?

We’ll see. He is at home. So Im not expecting a shutout or a 10 run outburst. A nice 5-4 thriller due to the pen.

Mikolas’ ’26 pitching line looks nice. You can really tell he likes working his magic in DC. Change is good…For everyone!

If you place Mikolas’ and Dustin Mays’ pitching line for the ’26 season side by side, they look like one and the same guy. Claire Bloom had the vision and foresight to wheel and deal in order to fill the void created when Miles took his talents to DC… I’m left with a very distinct impression that we’re all going to absolutely adore the duo of the one known as Bloom and his little general.

Well that’s bad news, Dommie! I don’t like seeing ex Cards on the mound or at the plate. They rerrorize us until they get back off the PED’s that made them good ’till got their big contract with us

BTW my tech issues are not resolved. Just lucky today I think

Looked like Walker checked his swing on the K.

Tino Martinez is helping to sell Carshield. Is that anything similar to a windshield?

That check swing earlier by Walker didn’t even look close to him going.

Good job by McGreevy to work out of some trouble. He needs to get ahead more in the next innings though to keep the pitch count down.

Burleson delivers the 2 out, 2 RBI base hit.

Burly with a single to score 2. Mikolas allowing a lot of traffic like he did with STL. Hopefully the Nats are looking for some bulk innings out of him today and leave him in for a while.

Nice to have a 1-2-3 inning. Any sense of who is available out of the pen? Graceffo and Soriano both threw two yesterday. They used Romero, Bruihl, and Stanek both Sunday and Monday. O’Brien, Svanson, and Shuster are available, but which of the other five? I’d hate to rely on Svanson and Shuster to hold a lead. We need McGreevy to go deep.

The one area that you can’t hardly fault Mikolas is the ability to take on a workload, Albert. He’s averaged a bit over 175 IP’ed for the last four seasons. That’s a lot these days.

I’m more than a little surprised that the DC manager didn’t allow Mikolas to continue working after only 55 pitches. He’s pitched ino some trouble but managed to work around most of it to keep it a close 2-1 game. I wish he were allowed to stay in there until the exploding bolts detonated and he self destructed…

Yup. It’s not like the Nats’ bullpen has been rested and great.

We chased Mikolas. Good job boys!

    Why was he pulled early?

He must be saving Miles’ arm strength for that all important NL pennant race in Sept. Good idea…
