It’s getting late early…Cardinals need to push some runs across.

Graceffo’s follow through reminds me a lot of former Cardinal hurler Jake Woodford. Kind of turns his body towards first like Woodford did.

Herrera, Walker and Gorman due to hit. Need to place some ducks out there on the pond.

Herrera just has not hit much yet. He will, but so far he is missing a lot of pitches.

Walker again lets a strike go by, and he knew it.

Gorman looks too “busy” up there. He’s swaying the bat back and forth and is not real settled. Think he needs to “quiet” his stance and come up with a better timing method.

I love the strides he has made this year, but he has no clue about shortening up and guarding the dish with two strikes…. can someone get through to him to start doing that?

Yeah, Bikemike, that 6th inning was a genuine dud from the 2-3-4 slots.

Red Sox have a chance to put this one out of reach. Cardinals need for this lefty to provide a lifeline from the BP.

Sheesh… He runs it to 3-0 with the bases jammed.

He performs a miracle and recovers to record the 2nd out.

Burleson really scuffled to draw that BB. Real nice PA to place the tying run aboard.

I went to the Frozen Confines, aka, Wrigley yesterday. It was not 50 degrees out or close to it btw.

It was at a Marlins-Cubs split DH at Wrigley a couple seasons ago. Game 1 was 46 and game 2 was 42 degrees with a decent wind. I was thinking the same way but it that’s what it says in the box score.

Wow, Church and Pozo were our pinch hitters with the game potentially on the line. I don’t know if its more pathetic that they were the pinch hitters or that they were thought better chances than the guys in the lineup they hit for.

Walker now with 6 HR’s in just 14 games. He likes his taters mashed.

Hitting Svanson very hard here in the 9th. Other than in Svanson’s last outing, he’s been crushed by hard hit balls and wild control.

Every hit extremely loud. Again and again.

As he should 1TD. This season is about development. We can’t switch gears just because we’re a few games above .500 this early in the season. We need Svanson to figure out how to pitch again at this level. He may have to go back to Memphis though to do so.

This guy can’t record an out in ’26.

Look at him on the top step. The all-time classic dumb look.

That’s why he’s the one and only whiz-kid, jnevel. No one comes anywhere close.

Yep. A game in April is worth the same as a game in Sept. He could have brought anyone else in it was clear Svanson was reverting to form. Instead he gave away the game…..

Here’s the thing. He shouldn’t use Romero, Stanek, or O’Brien there. They pitched yesterday and were down a run. We’re facing Chapman in the bottom of the 9th with the bottom of the order coming up. The only other choice was Soriano. But Svanson was already in thee game. And going to Soriano after we’re down by 2 or 3 just leads to the same likely loss. So if we were going to lose anyway, we might as well let Svanson learn. I realize that take is going to be unpopular. But I think it’s the right move in the long run.
