I’m real sorry to know about Phil Garner. They called him ‘Scrap Iron’ in Pittsburgh and he certainly played and looked precisely like his well deserved moniker.

Yea 1tough, garner was the type of player that would have been very popular as a cardinal.

He was a genuine fan favorite in Pittsburgh, Willie. He dovetailed right into that hardscrabble, working class town.

These last 3 L’s have been some pretty sound beatings. You never enjoy losing, but it’s always a little solace to feel like you have an outside chance during the final 3 innings. Oh well, at least we have some baseball action.

Gorman is a couple of years older than Walker. He may have run his plane off the runway.

I’d guess they will leave him alone until the end of May then – if he still isn’t hitting his weight it may be adios amigo…

I don’t think they’ll pull the pin on him quite that early, but he’s most definitely feeling the pressure to prove he belongs in the Big Leagues. And besides, he’s only 11 pts. under his career BA…Haha!

There is nobody else to play 3B. There is no point playing a UT or 4A guy.

A lot went wrong but it starts with a failed start. Then the second string pen guys are bad, but we knew that already. Too many dead spots in the lineup.

I mean Gorman has done this time after time. There is a reason Urias is on this roster. I mean he’ll get a run but man can this clown ops .750? Its not hard but he makes it hard to watch. Hes the one guy they cleared out PT for. It’s pretty much shut up time for Nolan!

Its early tho. He has a chance to pull one of his streaks he has in him ans then slump for 6 weeks. The Gorman way!
