RBK, you’d make an outstanding monitor. If you weren’t so biased. Your following my posting history like a puppy is kind of comical.

RBK, as usual, we disagree. As you know, I’ve taken a lot of flack over the years for my support of Burleson. Are you finally coming around and becoming a Burly fan. Many have switched gears and are now warming up to Burleson being a viable MLB player. Are you?

RBK, you don’t get it. Maybe Arenado would want to do what’s best for the team right now. At the same time work on his hitting with less pressure to perform It would be temporary. Sheesh !

gscottar, the thing is, should Arenado be in the heart of the order if he’s so confused right now? Seems a short trip to Springfield (AA) for a stretch might be practical. That way he could work on getting his hitting straightened out with out being a detriment to the Cardinals.

For the Cardinals to win the division they need Goldy and Arenado to produce at a fairly high level. Goldy is showing signs of progress. Let’s hope he can maintain his level of performance in recent games. Arenado continues to trend downward. At the present, it’s a major concern for the Cardinals. Arenado is such a key to the Cardinals success. Especially, without the expected production from Walker. Right now, it’s a hot topic for Cardinals fans, That’s why I started this thread.

LACardfan. are you saying the Cardinals might be stuck with Arenado’s subpar, underachieving performance this season? With not much trade value.

It’s starting to look like some teams are not thrilled to have some RHP relievers face Burleson. And I feel that is pretty logical strategy for them.

Another option at 2B might be Fermin. Whose current BA at AAA is .360. With a 1.094 OPS. Pretty impressive.

Burleson batting #2 in the lineup against a LHP is quite interesting. Winn’s speed and Burly’s contact ability might be a good combo in front of Goldy. Now, Arenado needs to pick it up.

AdM, Burly couldn’t have been much over 22 when he tore up AAA pitching. The same age Walker is now. By the way, I am not kyfan1.

Noot scratched from the lineup tonite. He seems to have some fairly frequent injury issues.

I’m starting to see the practicality of retractable domes for MLB baseball stadiums in areas of uncertain weather conditions.

1td, I’m not counting Siani out. He’s made really good progress. And with his speed, it sure would be nice for him to develop that “contact, slap type” hitting style. Same with Scott. I’m certainly pulling for both.

1td, while Siani’s hitting has improved, I don’t feel he’ll ever have Burleson’s bat to ball skills.

Same lineup as yesterday. Only Burly in RF and Noot DH.

IMO, Carlson should start against LHP instead of Siani. Siani certainly deserves to start vs RHP, for now.

Let’s hope Oli doesn’t dick around with the lineup today. I’d rather Burleson be at 3. But at least have the same lineup as yesterday.

It might be time to go Burleson 3, Goldschmidt 4 and Arenado 5 against RHP.

With runner in scoring position at 2B. Poor decision not to pinch hit the RHB Carlson for Siani against the tough LHP.

Brian, let’s deal with the current situation. Why is Walker in AAA (with no HRs) and Burleson is regularly batting 5th in the lineup for the Cardinals with decent production? Like I indicated, I’d be thrilled if Walker is as good of an MLB hitter when he’s 25 as Burleson is now at 25.

bccran, I hope you are right. Because that would probably put Walker at an All Start caliber hitter. I just hope Walker can be as good of an MLB hitter at 25 as Burleson currently is. Burleson was a pretty dominant hitter at AAA his last season there. Walker is no where close at AAA now to where Burleson was then at AAA.

bccran, Burleson may end up being the best all-around hitter in the Cardinals organization in the next few years. And Prieto has been an outstanding hitter at Memphis.
