IMO, Carlson should start against LHP instead of Siani. Siani certainly deserves to start vs RHP, for now.

    Probably Koperniak.

Koperniak is not on the 40 man, so we have to move somebody off the 40 man to add him.

Will Siani ever develop into the great all around sort of hitter that you correctly predicted for Burleson, Shady? I sure hope so…Haha!

I thought Koperniak was a QB. Two sport star?

Same lineup as yesterday. Only Burly in RF and Noot DH.

1td, while Siani’s hitting has improved, I don’t feel he’ll ever have Burleson’s bat to ball skills.

That’s a shame, Shady. I was hoping you’d forsee Siani developing into a great sort of contact, slap type hitter…Maybe the next Matty Alou!

sorry to be a bit late late posting the lineup gents. Yes, Burleson and Siani are both exceeding expectation. And perhaps it should be mentioned that Matt Carpenter is hitting .258. Thank goodness, as others are underperforming.

1td, I’m not counting Siani out. He’s made really good progress. And with his speed, it sure would be nice for him to develop that “contact, slap type” hitting style. Same with Scott. I’m certainly pulling for both.

I agree Shady, Carlson vs lefties is overdue.

All good Bling, and thanks. That earlier L/R/L/R lineup stagger went out the window and now we started winning? Looks like Oli went anti-stagger tonight!

Maybe Oli started pulling the lineup out of the tray with his other hand. Lots of baseball people are superstitious about little things along those lines.

It looks like there is a line of storms either just north of St. Louis or in and around the city.

Anybody know if this one will get delayed, or perhaps postponed?

And the Indianapolis 500 got started – four (4) hours late.

And now, taking a gander at Sunday’s out-of-town scoreboard:

The Reds sweep the Doyers. Cincinnati wins this one by the score of 4-1 at Crosley Field. Dodgers looked listless.

The Red Sox down the Brewers at Fenway Park. 2-1 Boston your happy final.

And Atlanta finally gets a win over the Pirates. 8-1 Braves at Three Rivers Stadium.

They scratched Friday’s game and it looks to be more activity moving in a direct line towards the ballpark today than there was on Friday. I’d say roll your windows up.

I’m starting to see the practicality of retractable domes for MLB baseball stadiums in areas of uncertain weather conditions.

As technology makes retractable roofs more routine to build, we will see more of the northern area stadiums go this way.

The Broncos are looking longer term at a state-of-the-art stadium to be built with the retractable roof. They could then host Super Bowls and many other events that are not likely to happen with the current stadium. My guess is within 10 years it will happen, and likely be out in the eastern metro area which is where we are. Might be good for our property values to have that happen, but by then who knows if I will be around to see it. I might be a distant memory by then.

One of these games Goldy and Nado are going to combine for 5 hits, two homers and 6 RBI. Maybe that will be tonight, or perhaps one of the games in Great American Ballpark.

Let’s just hope that when it happens, our pitching is decent as well.

A retractable roof may blow off today…It’s a little breezy out there.

Noot scratched from the lineup tonite. He seems to have some fairly frequent injury issues.

There are a plethora of players who could be moved off the 40 man without us skipping a beat.
    Roycroft, Ingram, Crawford, etc…

We’ve had a tornado warning here. I think the tornado was in Oakville south of 270. We had large hail here. Seems to have passed on towards downtown.

Updated lineup. Noot with slight hamstring tightness. If anyone missed it, Pallante up, Robertson down.

Air raid warnings went off twice in our area near I44 and I270. We live about 300 ft. from a firehouse, so we can hear it pretty good…Haha! The basement’s dry, so I’m happy.

I guess they’ll wait until they sell plenty of overpriced beer and hot dogs before they call it a scratch. If a baseball game happens in StL. this evening, I’ll be surprised.
