Thanks, but I don’t quite follow. The lineup, itself, is a whole different topic for conversation. In this case, trying to lengthen the lineup. However, I will try to consider your suggestion.
Any updates from a BoSox scout on Burleson’s development? And maybe what he thinks of Saggese. My oh my, those two cats can hit.

Actually, both Scott and Saggese do have some proving to do at AAA as productive hitters. But what fine insurance they give the Cardinals.
I agree. But, frankly, I can’t recall either Thompson or Liberatore ever having the command Rom had today.
I’m surprised there isn’t some discussion on Rom’s performance today. Maybe it wasn’t as impressive as it looked like to me.
From the obvious hitting ability Saggese has shown. Should Mo be floating around Donovan’s name in a trade? Mo has Gorman, Donovan and, now, Saggese and even Prieto, at 2B.
I like your idea regarding seeing how Saggese hits at AAA. If he does hit extremely well, the likely move would be to left field. Actually, he may end up hitting in this spring training comparable to Walker last ST. And they decided to go with Walker on the big club. Obviously, they wouldn’t consider that with Saggese, out of ST, unless he could could be a regular.
Saggese is lean. And only 21. He has some muscular growth potential. Which should enhance his power potential.
Yep, I never quite understood the Donovan batting at #5 thing. But he’s sure fine at #1 or #2. If Walker’s ready, it’ll be interesting where they plug him into the lineup.
I believe there’s a decent chance Burleson ends up getting traded in the off season. His offensive performance at AAA and as a lefty bat makes him attractive to some teams.
One way or the other, Mo has the ammo to get Reynolds without overpaying. Carlson and Liberatore seems to be a be a fair intitial offer. It would help the Pirates get younger with more control in their rebuilding process.
That should read, I’d be surprised if the Pirates would NOT give some consideration to Reynolds for Carlson and Liberatore. Especially, since Reynolds wants to be moved.
